The album hit No.1 in the UK Classical charts and reached No.5 in the UK Album Chart. This has got to be a Freddie fans dream. The vocal range of Freddie is fully explored in this album with most of his best work included on the album. Some great tunes including what I think has got to be one of my favourites now...Living on my own.

Been playing it for weeks now in the car and still find it remarkable.

The Freddie Mercury Album

I have owned this now for 12 years......it's a funny old album really. It has it's fair share of awful tunes: "Foolin' Around", "Your Kind of Lover", "Let's Turn It On" and I even dislike the top 10 UK hit "Love Kills". Terrible, tacky, 80s-electro-dance-disco-pop or whatever you wanna call it.

However "Mr. Bad Guy" is enjoyable and the rest are gems. Freddie's cover of "The Great Pretender" eclipses The Platter's original. That pretty much makes Freddie some sort of God in my eyes. The Euro hit "Time" is just a great thoughtful number taken from the musical of the same name. the main picture for this product seems to be showing the larger solo collection which was a set of 8-10 cd's and 2 dvds with a big glossy book. but the product being sold is the smaller 3-cd box set which is quite misleading. i own both and both are great, just make sure you know which one you're buying!
