Easily one of the best in the Fabriclive series, The Freestylers provide a slice of some of the heaviest breakbeat action available. Starting with the Deekline and Wizard remix of The Freestylers' own Boomblast, tearing through Breakfastaz, NAPT, Baobinga and countless other top artists Fabriclive 19 has everything. The MC-ing is fantastic as well - enhancing the flavour

Those words in my view best describe this album and the tracks on it. I don't recall knowing of the Freestylers before listening to 'I'm In Love With You' and I think 'Fast Life' on BBC Radio 1 online, prompting me to check them out along with some more audio samples. Liking what I heard, I ordered the CD earlier this summer and have been enjoying it ever since.
There are few standout tracks to me because ALL of them are almost uniformly really good to excellent, albeit in different ways. Hip hop, house, rock and RnB, among other genres, are all evident but the different influences never feel forced and the various songs all sound like they belong on the same disc.
Having heard 'Adventures In Freestyle,' I find it ... Read More:

everyone else has said how great disc 1 1 is, and they're right. Mixing their own tracks with some old school classics was a stroke of genius.
The duplication of "Closer To All Your Dreams" isn't the only error with disc 2's tracklisting. Here's the real deal:
01 Shock The Beat - Electric Choc
02 Closer To All Your Dreams - Rhythm Quest
03 No Way Back - Adonis
04 Break Of Dawn - Rhythm On The Loose
05 Activ 8 (Come With Me) - Altern 8
06 Closer To All Your Dreams - Rhythm Quest
07 Get Up & Dance - SCAM
08 Take Me Away - True Faith
09 Infiltrate 202 - Altern 8
10 Under Mi Sensi - Barrington Levy
Release Date May 11, 1999
Eh?!!! Surely this is the most consistently awesome albumn of english hip hop/old skool/new skool/big beat/coddler alternating flange/breakbeat ever! I bought it knowing all the singles and not expecting much from the rest but there are no standout tracks, they all "rock hard". So buy it , unless you are a gardener or a plumber, in which case I can recommend Englebert Humperdink.

....this album is different. I've had it for years, and every now and again I'll here a clip on TV and I HAVE to go and dig it out.
It's definately worthy of being called "great". It's an album full of bass and quick lyrics. I'm into rock, but this album is one of my favourites. Tunes like "Here we go", "B-boy Stance, "Ruffneck" and "Warning" are just pure party!
I recommend this to those with any kind of breakbeat/dance/rock inside of them. A great album
