I've had this album a long, long time and even after buying all their others, this one is still the original and best. From the outstanding 'Fun Lovin' Criminal' (best song ever, no contest) to the lovely cover version of 'We Have All the Time in the World' and everything in between, this is truly a great album. The guys couldn't get any funkier if they tried, and could make a Celine Dion cover sound like the coolest thing ever. If you don't have this album already, buy it - the best introduction to the best band in the world. Spread the word, and then go see them live!

This is a great album to get if you don't really know the Fun Lovin' Criminals and it may just tempt you to try more! I think you'll find them tasty and satisfying!
I've been a fan of FLC for about 10 years now and have finally got around to making a website in support of them. You can find it at www.flcnyc.co.uk if you'd like to come around and find out more of what they're currently up to!

A lot of people don't like Loco very much, I'm not one of them! There are some great tunes on here, and their cover of Microphone Fiend is awesome!

I've had this album for a while now and it just keeps getting better. It's a great mix of styles and the boys are on top form. A good CD. Smooth grooves, funny words, all in a style of hip hop that sounds more original than most of the rubbish hip hop on the TV music channels. There are a couple of tracks which although not weak they do not seem to follow the flow of the music, bit too heavy, but all in all a great summer CD. Everytime I hear the guitar on 'all for self' it sends shivers up my spine.

What were they thinking? They make a cover album, and the only good covers they do are of their own songs! 'scooby snacks' remake is a good alternative of the original, as well as 'i cant get with that'. but then there are 'im not in love' and 'summerwind' which are completely butchered by the boys from brooklyn. these songs may be called ironic by the amazon reviewer, but more importantly they sound crap and they don't compare to the originals sung by the likes of sinatra. the sax playing on the up on the hill instrumental right at the end is a great way to end an otherwise slightly disappointing album

Welcome To Poppy's was the Fun Lovin' Criminals first album after their greatest hits compilation and also their first away from major label EMI. In addition to this, the Crim's last album Loco, although garnering some of their best reviews, fell flat with many of the fans.
Big things were needed from this album - and big things they delivered.
For me, WTP's is THE Fun Lovin' Criminals album that should be used to introduce people to first. It contains everything from rock to soul to heart-filled balladry to funk to hip-hop, and most importantly the albums flows perfectly - there isn't a single duff track among the fifteen here and at no point will you want to skip any of the songs. And at least seven of the songs here could be potential ... Read More:

The FLC are one of the best groups i have heard. Their sound is very relaxed and mellow. This particular album includes tremendous live recordings and other rare tracks that i can highly reccomend to anf fan.

FLC are the best band in the WORLD. No question. I went to see them last thursday in Cambridge, they were amazing. Much better live than on the album. This is a brilliant collection of their hits. It features hard rap songs like Fun Lovin' Criminal and Scooby Snacks and the slow up on the hill. Huey can rap and sing briliantly. Anyone who doesn't like this can't say they like music. This is reccomended to Blues, Rap and Rock fans, but most people should like this.
