Gabrielle will claim herself that she is nota soul singer as she simply doesn't possess the voice to be one.
But she is a good solid and consistant performer who has churned out some really nice tracks in the last 10 years.

I'm into Rnb/Soul/Hip Hop, but I have no problem saying that I own this really good set of songs.
Her music has never been groundbreaking, but has always been good.

"Dreams" is her signature track, and most people's favourite Gabrielle track. I know it is mine. Its her story. It what she is about. Its a perfect track and one which she will always be able to say is a "classic". This track will get played on radio in another 10 years time.

It was "Bridget Jones's Diary" that got my attention in relation to Gabrielle with her amazing song, "Out of Reach". Since then, I haven't followed her every musical move, but when I saw that she was releasing a new album, my interest was piqued again. Seeing her recently on T.V. for a behind the scenes mini-documentary about the making-of her single "Why", I finally decided to purchase ALWAYS.

The overall feel of the album is about love at the end stages. Some of the tracks are more sombre than others, whilst there are tracks that show you that someitmes the person who does the leaving is often the one who shall regret walking away (for example, "Cold Sober Moment").

Rise

Well, Gabrielle has done it again! She provided us with the album 'Find your way', with the likes of 'Dreams' (brilliant song), but this album has out won them all! My favourite song, has to be 'Out of Reach', which is currently out at this present time which is also on the recent album 'Rise'. This album works because Gabrielle has included soulful tunes, which some are upbeat (e.g. 'when a woman') or just one's that you can relax to. So, you can listen to the album whatever mood your in! I hope the day will never come when Gabrielle stops making music, because the day she does music wouldn't be music without Gabrielle. So, keep on rolling out those tunes!

gabrielles latest album to date is probably her best to date...hard to say when the rest were just as perfect!!! however the songwriting and lyrics on this album are amazing.!!!

Ten years time" was the second single and it flopped!!! but that doesnt mean to say it isnt amazing!!! its reflective for the listener 'where you gonna be in ten years time, will you be happy with the way you been living your life'....a top! top tune!

i wont bore you with a track by track listing but the brilliant songwiting is open and easy to listen / understand!

Gabrielle... The powerful opening of 'Forget About The World' sets the scene for a very good album. The South-London pop/soul singer's second album has a completely different focus to both its predecessor, Find Your Way, and the follow-up, Rise, which are both far more pop-orientated.

On her self-titled album, Gabrielle has the most mature sound of the three albums and on most tracks it pays off - 'Give Me A Little More Time' and 'If You Really Cared' both sound like they come from the 60s and this is no criticism... after the brilliant ballads of 'People May Come' and 'I Live In Hope', they are a welcome move back in time.

Gabrielle Roth is the creator of 5 rhythms dance, a dance without steps, which she sees as a spiritual practice. After a great workshop with Gabrielle, dancing the 5 rhythms, I wanted to take some of that blissful feeling home. Initiation seemed like a good place to start. Described as a "downtempo 5 rhythm ride", it guides you through the 5 rhythms - flowing, staccato, chaos, lyrical, stillness. It's a good introduction to Gabrielle's music. I'd also recommend her books - really interesting to read even if you don't get up and dance!
