Although I'm not a Garth Brooks fan at all, I must admit that he
has had a string of wonderful hits that are all on this double CD
+ the "gift" of a DVD where all these hits can be seen. Besides,
the price of this "triple disc" offer is incredible. So much for
so little!

Oh dear, oh dear! What a bloody let down. I bought Garth Brooks first 2 cd's & was totally impressed by him. I'd also seen 'out of the fire' & again was totally sold on him as as a great preformer............. but, but this '5' dvd set is appalling! The sound quality is beyond bad!All I can hear is the flamin audience & theres only so many times you can watch Garth running across the stage! Which he seems to do repeatedly...not sure why!!! Also, the guy who does his videos...... loose him Garth, cause they're just plain nausiatin! I recomend if you want to see how a concert should be done, get Cher's farewell concert! That rocks

Garth Brooks - Fresh Horses
This is Garth Brook's Sixth studio album. Fresh Horses was released in 1995, and went on to sell over six million copies in the US alone.
Fresh Horses continues the rise of Garth Brook's to "legend".
A fantastic fresh albums, Full of upbeat and slow ballads, and has a strong mix of rock and pop and of course country.
"The Beaches of Cheyenne" is a fantastic love song which covers the cruel world of loss and pain, and I think this is my favourite on the cd.
"Cowboys and Angels" and "That ol' Wind" are great ballads and I really like "Beaches of Cheyenne" and the song "The Change" is a great ballad that will pull at the heart strings, also Garth does a old Areosmith ... Read More:

Country music changed forever in 1989, led by Clint Black with his hugely successful debut album that spawned several number one country hits. Garth started at the same time as Clint but his debut album, while also very successful, didn't do as well as Clint's album at the time. With his second album (this one), Garth took country music to a level of popularity never previously known and became its leading star for much of the nineties. Indeed, Garth outsold all pop singers in America for a few years. I don't know how many copies this particular album has sold but I know it passed the ten million mark long ago. I was one of the early purchasers but, brilliant as it is, I never expected it to become that popular.

While Garth has recorded some great music since this album was released, this was the last of his classic albums. It includes traditional country (The cowboy song) and a Cajun-styled song (Calling Baton Rouge) but most of the songs here owe as much to pop and rock influences as country. Die-hard traditionalists may not be impressed but this album has much to commend it.
The big American hits were generally the more up-tempo songs such as Ain't going down till the sun comes up, American honky tonk bar association and the aforementioned Calling Baton Rouge, which is a cover of a New Grass Revival song and features that group (including Bela Fleck and Sam Bush) as backing musicians. The album also includes Garth's two biggest UK hits, these being the ... Read More:

The person who compiled Garth's hits compilation (sadly now long out of print) clearly loved this album. Six of the tracks from this album were included, making it the best-represented album on that compilation. I can well understand the compiler's enthusiasm although there are some of Garth's other albums that I rate even higher.
The six tracks that featured on the hits collection have some interesting stories. One of them (Burning bridges) became a Spanish hit. Another (Shameless) is a cover of a Billy Joel song that Garth recorded only after he learned that Billy wasn't going to release his own version as a single One of Garth's favorite songs here (Rodeo) began life in the early eighties as a slightly different song titled Miss Rodeo, intended for ... Garth Brooks is a man obsessed with standing up for the rights of civil rights protesters and this album contains several coded messages to the peoples of the Masai tribe. Critics- so far!! have not understood why Garth has made this album, but in June 2008 the whole world will see.
Release Date December 01, 1997
Garth's last album, 'Fresh Horses' was a relative flop, which led to unpleasant repercussions at Capitol ... happily 'Sevens', produced by Allen Reynolds, was released, albeit way behind schedule, at the end of 1997. This is Brooks seventh albumn, containing seven tracks per side (on tape). Watch out for those moody shoots of a stetsoned Brooks, the cover shot on Sevens features him in a white T-shirt outside a stable playing with his buckle!
Those already familiar with Garth will know the drill, songs invariably fall into the following categories (a) the loud and rabble rousing, couldn't give a damn 'Friends In Low Places' (b) the slow, powerful ballad so successfully achieved in 'The Dance' (c) the cliche-ridden, sentimental stealer epitomised by ... Garth Brooks recorded some great songs many of which are included in this fine collection, which was compiled from his first five albums (Garth Brooks, No fences, Roping the wind, The chase, In pieces). Garth's phenomenal success in his American homeland contrasts sharply with his international profile. He became very popular in some countries (notably Ireland) but conspicuously failed to make more than a limited impact elsewhere, notably Britain, where he had a few hit singles but his chart history is not spectacular, so this review focuses primarily on his American career.
Garth's first single (Much too young) was a great song but the other two hits (If tomorrow never comes, The dances) from his debut album (simply titled Garth Brooks) really set up his ... Read More:

If you like Garth Brooks, the big band sound, and of course liking christmas helps, then you are going to love this album. Far better than his other christmas album, Beyond The Season, and probably one of his best records since Ropin' The Wind, No Fences and The Chase. A good record to play loud even though it's christmas music. I am a big fan of Garth and of country music, but this does not have a country feel at all but a Big Band sound. And the whole combination works very well. An excellent album and definatly one to have standing proudly with your Garth Brooks collection.
