I expected this to be pushing the boundaries of world cross over music but it's a bit lame with only a couple of tracks that stand out "Mainoo Ole Bai Ke Pee Lain De" being one. If you want something a bit down tempo to play at your dinner party that's not too offensive, then I suppose this is would fit the bill. A pity as it could have been sublime considering how exquisit Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan vocals are.

Bass Sweat and Tears

This is a good album if you like electronic semi-ambient downtempo chill music. There are some excellent tracks on it. I particularly like the more dubby efforts. The artist seems to have collected various "ethnic" sounds, contributors, melodies and samples and meshed them with deep dubs and slowjams. It all sounds very nice.

If I have any criticism it's that this world-music/downtempo thing has been done to death already. I can't quite get the image of tie-died trustafarians sagely nodding away imagining they are "embracing other cultures" by buying a CD out of my mind. But cynicism aside, for what it is, it's really pretty good. I was pleased to hear European influences like flamenco rather than just the usual Eastern "mystical" ... Read More:

More influence from Namlook than Gaudi, but a good Dubby feel none the less. Like most Namlook albums, enjoyable but forgettable... on the to do list for all fans for sure!!

Wow,....I've listened this album many many times, I think it's a beautiful gift to the music!!It is so intense and incredibly sensual. Fat basslines and aeterial sitar sounds. Fantastic production. Well done Gaudi!
