I will admit I was originally determined to hate Girls Aloud because I am against reality TV shows but song after song I found myself unable to stop listening. Now I am a huge fan and bought the Greatest Hits as I had not previously bought a Girls Aloud album. Every track makes me want to dance and sing into my hairdryer. My personal favourite are Long Hot Summer, Wake Me Up, Something Kinda Ooh and the unreleased track Money with it's hilarious lyrics. The girls lyrics are undeniably witty and sharp and nothing if not bold on all of their singles.

Tangled Up

This album represents everything that is bad about the state of pop music today.Pure homogenised pre-teen hokum that will appeal to adolescent schoolgirls & wannabe bimbo popstars everywhere.This is a must have album for the kids birthday party.Give these girl groups a couple of guitars & a set of real musical instruments then perhaps we might hear some real talent.

First things first, this is the special 2 CD version of Chemistry which features the bonus disc of 8 Christmas songs. Some are covers, some original songs, all of them executed nicely in the Girls trademark feisty sound. My personal fave is the Wizzard cover, 'I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday' - Nadine's vocals are just amazing on here. Plus, i love the festive new cover for the album, very cute!

But what about the main Chemistry album? Well, it really did set the standard for modern pop music. From late 2005 to 2007 when the Girls released their next album, Tangled Up, Chemistry really did just become the soundtrack to a lot of people's lives.

Even though it was released in 2003 i just bought this album and it is great! dont be put off just because it was released a few years ago. Its a really great album and for 99p why not?! Some of my fave tracks on it are: 'some kind of miracle'- its catchy and got good lyrics,'All i need'- good beat and tune,'mars attack' etc.... Basically i love all the tracks!!!

Can't Speak French

I've seen a lot of these girls in the Brit mags but other than Sarah Harding...being Sarah Harding and Cheryl Cole nee Tweedy's drama with Ashley, I didn't see what all the fuss was about. Heard this song the other day on an XM Euro pop station and instantly fell in love with it! Very funky indeed. Slick guitar riffs, great beat, nice harmonies and fun to sing along with. I hope this song gets more play here in the States.

If only all talent show winners had songs as ultimately good as Sound Of The Underground. I'm a massive Girls Aloud fan and everytime i listen to this song i just think 'simply amazing'. Twanging surf guitar over a drum n' bass beat and touches of electronica this is pop music at its most innovative, something the Girls would continue to push throughout their stunning musical career.
