I bet you have forgotten how many great songs Gloria Estefan has had!

This CD is a fantastic collection of her biggest hits (yes, it does exclude songs like 'Here We Are' & 'Cuts Both Ways', which are beautiful songs) however, it DOES include 20 classic tracks from her 80's days of Dr Beat, Conga, Don't Wanna Lose You Now, Can't Stay Away From You, Rhythm Is Gonna Get You, etc to her 90's tracks Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Everlasting Love, Heaven's What I Feel & Reach plus her song 'Wrapped' from her highly underrated 2003 beautiful CD ''Unwrapped'' (check it out!).

Plus the huge hit from earlier this year remixed by Mylo ''Doctor Pressure''.

Greatest Hits Vol.1

What a great album. All classic hits. Just thought I would comment on the album as the first review below seems rather inappropriate. When you consider that a greatest hits album is released after all the singles in it have been released then the songs contained in the album must have been heared by everyone. Why then should someone buy the album if they don't like the songs and then write such a poor review. I think everyone should buy the album and sit back and enjoy the great music.

Why then should someone buy the album if they don't like the songs and then write such a poor review. I think everyone should buy the album and sit back and enjoy the great music.

Cuts Both Ways

I didn't like this cd the first time I heard it and this was because,like many of Gloria Estefan's albums,there was a big variety of original singing styles and sounds to get used to. And this is of course why It Cuts Both Ways is a success - as with her other albums,it is very,very difficult to get bored with what you are listening to.
My favourite track:Don't Wanna Lose you.I'm sure that this cd will win over most people who purchase it.

Christmas Through Your Eyes

This is the best collection of christmas songs I've heard and a lovely collection.What makes it so good is the lively,soft sounding and colourful music which contrasts with Gloria's husky,high-pitched voice,and the leisurely pace at which the lyrics are sung."I'll Be Home For Christmas" was my favourite song but they are all a treat and worth listening to at any time of year.

For my taste, this is a fabulous record, in the lines of Alma Caribena.
Excellent recording fidelity, expert arrangements, beautifull vocals and overall proficient choice of material. Very enjoyable. Get it.

It's inevitable, that's some artist began to fade in the radio airwaves, but not in the memory of true fans. Her highly catchy songs keep listeners dancing for a long time ("1,2,3", "Rhythm Is Gonna Get You"). Her ballads are very soulful, sung very expressively ("Don't Wanna Lose You"). Every track on this album is timeless. However, she never writes or performs a bad song. She proves that with or without The Miami Sound Machine, she excels at music beautifully. She never loses a beat for a second. Accompanying her great music is a beautiful voice that blends perfectly with the theme regardless of what it is.

It may be that Gloria is more famous for her tracks from the 80's and early 90's. Her first GH album is great - it showcases all of her early hits and is a must buy for any fan of 80's music or anyone just getting 'into the latin groove'! But this second GH is a very different affair all together!
It is a far more mixed bunch than the first hits collection. It spans songs from Mi Tierra to the excellent Gloria!.
Gloria is an amazing talent, and for me she is the only consistent female artist along with Madonna.
She has a truly wonderful voice - she can do ballads like no other and she sounds great on the disco infused tracks!
