In my opinion, the overall GC sound has improved; it is more uplifting. I really didn't like that emo aura, and the last album was quite depressing, except for the fantastic Mountain. This album was produced by Don Gilmore and mixed by Andy Wallace, which is the same combination as Linkin Park's Meteora, which is a much better album. It goes to show how good these guys are together. One main replacement in the band for this album was the drummer Dean Butterworth stepping in for Chris Wilson. He has to be the 2nd best drummer the band has ever had on an album, behind the very talented Josh Freese. As a result the drumming is far better and far more live sounding, rather than technical, like on the last album. They have almost changed to a dance ... Read More:

I'm a 22 year old with gothic tendancies, and I'm quite varied in my musical taste (I love Nine Inch Nails, HIM, Marilyn Manson, Bryan Adams, Guns n Roses, Sting, Nickelback and the Mediaeval Baebes amongst many others). I think Good Charlotte have some fantastic songs: they're catchy, passionate and funny in equal measure. What does it matter what genre they are? I think they're great. There's very few songs which I don't like (which is very rare) and there's not a duff song on this album.

The first time that I listened to this album I couldn't quite believe what I was hearing. I remember thinking of this band as one of the best bands in the world, and having my idea completely changed. My favourite album back then was their 2nd album, The young and the hopeless, which I thought was a genius effort and was so catchy and inspiring. It was only over time that I began to understand this album, and it took a while. In my opinion, this album is certainly not for anyone under the age of 15. If you are then you won't want to listen to jaded music. It is definitely a more mature album, but I wouldn't say that in a positive way. This album is very cynical and dramatic and is supposed to be that way. None of the songs from this album are anything ... Read More:

This was one of the first albums that I bought from this site, but I wanted the album for ages and couldn't get it until I got myself a debit card! I purchased their second album 'The young and the hopeless' way back in 2003 when I was 13 years old and I though from that moment that this band was awesome! That album is still my favourite album from GC, it is the ultimate punk-rock album. The 3rd album was a little dissapointing but still had great songs like 'We believe' and 'Mountain'. The more I listen to that album, the more I can respect it, but definetly not an under 14's album. The latest album 'Good morning rtevival' has such a fresh sound and is about 'hope for the future' as Benji says in the thank you's.
What about this album?! This was their first ... Read More:

As a Good Charlotte fan I was going to buy this anyway no matter on the reviews I had read. I had been looking forward to it and was not disappointed.
This is a behind the scenes look at their tour of Japan during the run of The Chronicles of Life and Death album. It is significantly different from other 'backstage' material you may have seen, you truly get to see another side of Good Charlotte.
It is not packaged in an official merchandise style and therefore is able to be more open and honest, I was quite surprised by some of the stuff featured and learned alot of new things about one of my favourite bands!
