Now GR go back to playing some more poppy stuff which in my opinion they do best. This is a great EP, looking forward to the new full-length.

My Republic

Erase all doubts that Good Riddance was gonna be left to flounder after Russ and Only Crime have done so well, "My Republic" is possibly Good Riddance' finest record to date. It's easily there most melodic album, with some soaring melodies and vocal harmonies, but the lyrics are pure GR all the way through, just listen to "Save the Children" or "Uniform"... oh, "Tell Me Why" is the best punk song i've heard all year. If you're still unconvinced download "Darkest Days" from the fatwreck website and if you like that, chances are you'll love the rest of the album to.

Ballads from the Revolution

The previous review on here of 'Ballads From the Revolution' was correct in that this is a great album. However, I'd advise you listen to the lyrics rather than just let your hair down and go mad to it. Although that is indeed a fine thing to do (!), Good Riddance are under-appreciated in my mind.

This band make some of the finest, most intelligent punk music today. Combining thoughtful, insightful and intelligent lyrics with rip-roaring guitars and beats that just drag you in and make you think "Why can't most music be this bloody good?"

Give 'em a try punk fans, it's bands like Good Riddance, Propagandhi and Pennywise, to name a few bigger bands, that keep punk so damn good and important.

Operation Phoenix

This band rocked de-construction 2000, so I had to go and buy an album, this was the first that came to hand.

The album is so agressive and raw that it takes a little getting used to but, if you like your music in your face then you won't be disapointed.

Heresy + Hypocrasy is the best thing I heard that year, fantastic.
