Demon Days improves massively from the Gorillaz debut with an album chock full of memorable, innovative pop, garnished with effervescent production. If anything, the cartoon imagery (or you could call it marketing) sticks less easily to this album, with moments of folksy downbeat like 'Every Planet we Reach is Dead' sounding like an outtake from Blur's excellent Think Tank LP. Opener 'Last Living Souls' cuts up Albarn's deadpan vocals against crisp beats and retro synths while 'Kids with Guns' follows in a similar vein before ascending into a post-rocking sonic climax. 'O Green World' is drowsy, 21st century funk, and the brilliant, booty-shaking 'Feel Good Inc.' has to be one of the singles of the year, even if it was used for a certain television ... Read More:

Being new to the scene a lot were expected of cartoon band Gorillaz and they delivered in a way which was unbelievable with this fantastic debut album.
They came into the market having not a lot of success but were able to deliver in the form of their first single `Clint Eastwood' which reached number 4 in the UK charts but probably deserved higher with its cool style and interesting choice of lyrics.
The songs are very different from your average rock band. Because their mode of address is very unusual it struck a cord with a wide range of people. The video for Clint Eastwood showed the band dancing and the drummer being turned into a monster. The funny elements and amazing graphics were great but the whole music concepts ... Read More:

I had a gamble with this CD and it turned out to be amazing! The remix CD is really good and if you can get this for a few quid on amazon I would highly recommend it. There are some brilliant hidden tracks and remixes! Buy it!!
Release Date March 11, 2002
This is a fantistic Cd and deserves to be bought. The only problem is that they put on two songs that they have on Gorillaz[UK]:
'19-2000 (Soulchild Remyx/Remix)'
and
'Rock The House'.
Even though on the CD, they put put on a '(edit)' at the end, i think, that they just cut out a possible swear word.
Despite these setbacks, all in all this is a great album.

...is what this album had us doing. We've only just discovered it and whacked in CD player and spent the rest of the night moon-walking to those chilled deep dubs and and other fab sounds. I'd even dare to say better than the original!
Release Date October 30, 2006
They strike again as with Phase One (Celebrity Take Down) I love the art work of Jamie Hewlett, been a life long fan. I love the Music the collective called Gorillaz produce. I love the videos. So what's my beef? It's the navigation of the DVD, while it may seem cool to some to need a map (Map provided, I kid you not!) to navigate each chapter of the DVD I like to be able to just drop the DVD in and go straight to whichever Video, interveiw or live performance I want. Not have to pull the map out try and navigate with various buttons on my remote to try and find what I'm looking for. Art for Art's sake? Hence why I dropped two stars from an otherwise excellent DVD.
Release Date November 19, 2007
If you are a Gorillaz fan, this is a must buy. I reccomend the Deluxe Edition as it is far better than the average cd case and comes with badges, patch and exclusive artwork! Also it is a lot cheaper than on the high-street - HMV are selling this for 50 pounds!

Superb concept album again from the Gorillaz with their characteristically innovative style and approach to reworking music for maximum impact. A must have for anyone with a spark of imagination.
