I have heard history of guns live, so I know what a vibe a person can get just from listening to them. But this new CD of theirs really deserves all the praise they can get. I am not a Punk/Alternative person, but I enjoy listening to them. They have a dark side, but yet have a relaxed side. What is different about this band is that they do what they genuinely believe in. That is why I am telling you all to go out and buy this CD. You don't get many things that are real anymore, and they are as real and as straight forward as you can get. Listen to the lyrics and the sounds they use. History of Guns have carved their own niche with their industrial goth-punk songs and high energy live shows. However, this album is slightly different to their other work, as it only features key members Del Alien on vocals and Max Rael on electronics.

The result is still dark, and at times disturbing, yet the absence of the band's trademark heavy beats on a large proportion of the album gives important breathing room for Rael's spaced out electronic textures. These in turn complement Alien's voice which, on "Flashes Of Light", no longer needs to compete with the instrumental overload which is prevalent in other releases.

Although "Flashes Of Light" has been mooted by the duo as a "one-off" release, it bodes well for the next ... Read More:
