I have heard music of all kinds, and Huun Huur Tu continue to occupy pride of place in my collection for the sheer soul and earthiness of the music. I recommend this album for anyone wishing to hear and learn about Tuvan throat singing. Those of you who have not heard this type of music before, I would recommend training your ears to listen to the different notes being produced. And yes, the same throat produces the low bass tone as well as the high-pitched whistle like sound which carries the main melody.

My favourites on this album are:
Dyngyldai, Ezir-Kara, Deke-Jo, Sarala and Hayang.
