A fantastic double disk mix which I absolutely love. Fantastic selection of tracks and flawless mixing. CD 1 is chillout, but beautiful. CD 2 is a great example of prog house - every track is stunning, upbeat, melodic and musically interesting, and the mix wonderful (if you liked James Holden's Balance, you will love this). This has shot up there in my favourites. Perfect. If all mixes were as good as this I would be one happy bunny.

Morning Sci-Fi

Hybrid produced a debut album that could almost have sunk them, so good was its content, and indeed here they seem to get off the mark slowly with a much leaner, introspective and dark mood permeating proceedings...

However, by the time we reach 'I'm Still Awake' and then 'We Are In Control', we're back in familiar barn-storming territory... Add to that 'Gravastar' and the mega closing track 'Blackout' and you have a must-have techno-trance album from the Welsh masters...

Don't just get this, get all their output, now....

If your a Hybrid fan don't go near this album it will just make u mad. if u like cheap trance rip off's off great tracks and have never really heard any of hybrids earlyer stuff, u could take a chance on this album u may like it.

Yet again, an unbelievably catchy multilayered and complex tune. Shivers down the spine time. If you liked I Choose Noise, Wide Angle et al BUY IT!!! You will not be disappointed

WIDER ANGLE

I'd heard of hybrid b4 - read the generally fantastic reviews and based on this I purchased Wider Angle. First hearing I thought OK good but what is all the fuss about. The more I listened and analyzed the better it got. God what a complex 'avalanche of sound'. What a grower this album is. You have to listen to it. A CLASSIC. The live sets especially 'Snyper' are so crisp and deep - the crowd noise actually adds to the energy / vibrance - ASTONISHING. I don't normally like live sets but this is excellently produced and you hear the crowds reactions in the right places. This album includes some of the best tracks I have ever heard. Wider Angle

This record is simply mind-bendingly good...

It's genuinely difficult to express just how good it is. Incredibly rich, lush and uplifting techno soundscapes literally explode out from this album with gorgeous guest vocals too.

From the very first moment it kicks in after the intro, it doesn't let up for a second... A sonic rollercoaster. Buy this album immediately, you will ADORE it.

Prepare to smash your personal best's in the Gym too...

When Hybrid are given a track to remix... they REMIX it, and quite unlike anybody else, why? Because Hybrids remixes completely alter what the original offered, and more often than not, make it better.
This selection of tracks throughout Hybrids earlier days throughout the years upto 2000, show exactly what makes the band elite and one step ahead of the rest in the electronic music scene.
Now, with any compilation, not every track here will appeal and you may be surprised, even shocked to not be seeing a favourite mix (I've noticed a few reviews here dissing this album because of this) unfortunately, Licensing music can sometimes be a sticky and expensive situation when a track is owned by somebody else and their record label,

I always look at the reviews on here and wonder what sort of a person actually bothers to write one (that'd be me from this moment on!) Life is too short to actually care what other people think of your taste in music. BUT this is nothing short of beautiful. I 'stumbled' over this album ages ago and it began a life long love of this band. To anyone who thinks this is souless electronica/break beat etc etc, listen to 'Finished Symphony'. If you still aren't moved by the pure beauty of this track, it's time for a full frontal labotomy and triple heart bypass. 'Epic' falls short as far as I'm concerned.
