this band is absolutely wonderful, after first recognising them with their excellent single 'drive' i was instantly hooked, and this album was no dissapointment.with heavvier vibed tracks such as 'nice to know you' and 'circles'to start with the album slips into an instant hit and never fails to relax the mind, the cracking track 'wish u were here' follows and then the superb 'just a phase'which is my personal favourite carries on the extremely high standard music being produced from this band, the only reason this didnt get 5 stars was 'aquous transmission' which seems to drag on and let the album down slightly.
Release Date June 10, 2002
everyone should own this album. It is a gem, with some amazing tracks, and the musicality of the different parts is just incredible. I can't believe Incubus did this when they were just 16. Absolutely crazy, and incredible.

i hardly ever listen to this album after having it for i few months, its actuly boring. i was hoping for somthing fresh after all they have a new bassist (bring back Alex Katunich!)and have alot of expericence, but all i got was the equiverent of a week old turkey sandwich, dry boring and kinda stale. not as rexaled as 'moring veiw'and no where near 'SCIENCE' or 'moring veiw'
highlights: 'a crow left of the murder', 'pistola' and 'made for TV movie' are the only tracks i wont skip over, the rest just make me angry

Quite simply the most awful pieces of "music" I've ever heard. How anyone can change the best songs in the world to these painful noises I dont know. THE SONGS DONT EVEN SOUND LIKE THE ORIGINALS!Every chord is off, it slows down then speeds up with no apparent reason, its unimaginably bad. It actually makes you think they've done every song completely wrong on purpose. If "Tribute" means to do the above to an amazing band, then this is most defineately...a tribute.

As the title suggests, Light Grenades is one of my favourite albums of all time.
Admittedly I'm no hardcore Incubus fan (although I have heard a lot of their music) but this album completely captured me from the first second of playing it, a solemn opener of "Quicksand" introducing me to the awe-inspired state that this album still induces within me to this day.
There is a nice flow to the album, a well-compiled mixture of louder, rock songs like "Kiss to Send us Off", "Anna Molly" and the title track "Light Grenades" and quiet yet beautiful, explorative songs like "Earth to Bella" (parts 1 and 2) and "Paper Shoes."
I also love the lyrics on this album, often emotional and touching, which I especially found on the ... Read More:
