For those poeple who know 'Inkubus Sukkubus' as they are now, may have missed this album because of the change in spelling of their name, but it is a must listen too. It is possibly their best but nothing can compare to seeing them live.

This is the side of incubus that should be appreciated. What we have here is a little gem of a song that feels good to listen too. From the opening intro we get to experience the most relaxing, enjoyable and refreshing songs to ever be released. With or without the lyrics the instrumental carries the song with Brandon Boyd's voice adding a soothing touch to round it off.

I don't have much to say about the Oakenfield remix because I personally don't agree with remixes.

Another reason to get this CD is the wonderful accoustic version of Stellar, another brilliant incubus song. This is a wonderful and enlightening love tune with the guitar playing of Mike Einziger weaving in and out of the tune providing a harmonious backdrop ... Read More:

Maximum Incubus: Interview

This CD neatly sums up the Incubus music career to the present moment. The story is divided into 10 sections and each of them begins with a short interview with Brandon I have to say that this audio biography, although unauthorised, was much more detailed than what I saw on their numerous websites, and it comes with a free poster, so in fact I think it is really worth buying.

Pardon Me

On first view of this single, I was hoping for the Incubus of old. The catchy funk followed by the tuneful trademark singing of Brandon Boyd but I got something a whole lot more. On listening to Pardon Me I felt that Incubus have moved on enormously. The Funk has been replaced with a more emotional form of guitarwork similar to that of the more serious side of Red Hot Chilli Peppers but with DJ Killmore adding more depth to the beautiful off beat bass section. Boyd shows his talent for all styles of vocal formats by rapping. His rap is tuneful and at the same time has a scat feel to it which compliments the riding bass line. The B sides are equally moving. S.C.I.E.N.C.E.

this is hands down the best incubus album to date, sorry folks but its all downhill from here. if you have just got into incubus this album might come as a shock to you with its heavy guitars, funky stlye and jazz like interludes. many fans of 'a crow left of the murder' may not like this, incubus' stle has got liter and more mainstream as time has gone on but s.c.i.e.c.e is them at thier most creative.
Highlight tracks, all of them! their all good! but my top three are:

'New skin' heavy and great to listen to

'deep inside' funky and smooth with a few suprises

'magic medacine' for its sheer wierdness!

Beyond the Unknown [CASSETTE]

Whilst "serpent temptation" is instantly forgettable, "Beyond the unknown" is a well constructed and executed death metal album. The drum sound is a bit of an acquired taste ( I like it) and with only 1 guitar, the production might sound a bit weak to those who are used to albums worked on by a Mr Andy Sneap.

The song titles are what you would expect for the time, however songs like "Massacre of the unborn" are not Cannibal Corpse-esque at all, focusing on issues such as abortion in a more mature fashion.

Definitely worth picking up if it is re-released. Might disappoint if you have to pay an arm and a leg for a copy and don't already know it. Will definitely disappoint if you think you are picking up an early release by the "other" ... Read More:
