Wish You Were Here [CD 2]by: Incubus Release Date January 21, 2002 Taken from the bands 4th studio album, morning view, this song reflects the feeling of a band who have earned the fame they deserve without 'selling out'. The songs lyrics arn't very deep, speaking simply of experiences occuring whilst recording the afformentioned Morning View. The song features laid back guitar riffs, a quiet bassline, and some gentle drumming, combined with the voice of Brandon Boyd, which compliments the rest perfectly. This song is amazing, and definetly worth buying. |

Whlst there are some heavier tracks like Circles, Have You Ever, and Under my Umbrella - I didn't find these as convincing as the heavy stuff from the older albums. It's the mellow tracks which you'll be buying this album for, such as 11am, Echo, Just a Phase, and Are You In. These tracks are what elevates this album and as always Boyds vocals and lyrics are right there. The first single Wish You Were Here is definitely one of the highlights, combining the chilled factor with some heaviness and resulting in a very listenable track.
