Another Side

I love this CD. John Barrowman has one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard and the emotion he puts into his singing gives me shivers every time I hear him.
I was unsure about a couple of the songs on the CD. Not because I don't like them, but because I absolutely love them and I worried about them being "ruined". As it turned out, I actually preferred Barrowman's versions to the originals!
There genuinely seems to be nothing this man can't do.

Aspects of Lloyd Webber

If you're a fan of John Barrowman then you will know just how talented this man is...he sings, dances, acts and thanks with thanks to the television he can also ice-skate. Is there nothing he can't do?! His voice is as wonderful as he is and if you know anything about John's history in musical theatre then this album will make a perfect addition to your collection. My personal favourite is "sunset boulevard" - vocally rich and a song that really wakes you up.

Reflections from Broadway

I was recently given this as a birthday present. Of-course I was ecstatic, as I had been wanting the CD for about a year, although I was wary of buying music over the Internet.

Unfortunately, two of the songs I was most looking forward to hearing disappointed me: 'If I Can't Love Her' and 'Whistle Down the Wind', especially the latter. Despite the beautiful arrangements, I felt that the singing quality on these two was disappointing. 'If I Can't Love Her' sounded slightly strained, and I felt that there could have been more genuine emotion put into the performance. For me 'Whistle Down the Wind' was the biggest disappointment, as, again, the singing sounded almost horribly strained, and his voice was noticeably close to cracking ... Read More:

I thought this CD was absolutely amazing. Some of the songs for example "don't fence me in" are brilliantly sang and also "anything goes" has to be mentioned

I first saw this musical when I was 17, I'm now 33 and have seen it about five times in four different productions. Its a show that lives with you. The music is tuneful, moving, up-lifting and a real theatre score. The lyrics elegant, witty and shot through with humour. If you havent seen it or have heard about it give this CD a whirl, its well worth the chance. There is not a single dull track on the album. In fact its a complete and utter delight. Its cheered my weekend up no end! Just So is a brilliant diamond of a musical. Discover it for yourself, you will end up humming it for days.

Claire Moore and John Barrowman are great as Christine and Raoul, but Graham Bickley's voice is flat, emotionless, etc. If you want the best hilights CD, get the original London cast hilights. Michael, Sarah and Steve are all amazing.
