OVERALL I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS ALBUM

Piece By Piece

This is so mellow and dreamy. A perfect accompaniment to a 'deep' mood. Only don't listen to it whilst driving or operating heavy machinery as you'll probably find yourself falling asleep! Oh, and she has the most adorable chin cleft, not that it's evident just from listening to her singing, though. I think listening to this has cheered me up. It might work for you too!

Very interesting.
About 16 000 000 people live in Beijing. According to Wikipedia the ratio of bicycles to people is estimated at 1 to 2. One may assume that in a big city it is slightly higher? On that basis 9 million seems a reasonable estimate (if it is only that!)

Great music, BUT ... The DVD appears to have some sort of protection on it, and will not play on my computer. I am not happy about this and will be returning the album. Items like this should have a warning about incompatibility with computer playback in the advert, so that we know when not to buy!

Piece By Piece [Special Edition] [CD + DVD]

Lacks the magic of the songs of her earlier CDs but that's probably just my bias. This is not denying her ability as a superb singer and especially of jazz/blue music. Great rendition of 'Blues In The Night' and I liked too her singing of 'I Cried For You'. Regretfully, the selection on this CD does not compare favourably with that of 'Call Of The Search'.

every time i listen to this cd it reduces me to tears,"i cried for you" is a perfect title,does exactly that brilliant,"then we move on to "just like heaven",it's actually a cover of a "cure" track,i'm not normally a fan of cover versions but this track is top draw,only miss melua could make a great track even greater,a stunning release that deserves 5 stars & then some!
