Fantastic CD. I have all of Kenny's Cd's and this is arguably the best yet. Every track is written from the heart and gives a real insight into the man behind the songs. Agreed, there is a Caribbean lilt to most of the tracks but that is quite obviously where is heart is. The Country/Caribbean mix is dreamy and perfectly matched, lets face it not a new thing for Kenny. If you are a new country fan and happy to see the music we love evolve you will love this album. I think it is worthy of an award and havent stopped playing it since it arrived. Over the last year I have been concentrating on Josh Turner, Billy Currington and Rodney Atkins, (check them all out if you havent already !), but they are not getting a look in for the moment. Get it ... Read More:

It may say something about the state of country music that Kenny is more famous for who he married in 2005 than for his long string of hits on the American charts, but there is no denying that Kenny is a very successful country singer. This compilation neatly encompasses the best of his music of the nineties, with four then-new tracks added for good measure. One of his old hits (The tin man) was re-recorded for the album while another (Back where I come from) is here as a live recording, and another (All I need to know) is re-mixed.
There is plenty of variety here, both in tempo (mainly ballads with a few up-tempo songs) and subject matter. Here you will find a song about alcoholism (That's why I'm here), a wedding anthem (Me and ... Read More:

I started off in country music with Garth Brooks and progressed on, i brought Kenny's Greatest Hits cd after seeing him sing on the 2005 CMA Awards and haven't looked back since. He has some really really great stuff out there, but i really love this album Dont blink being my favorite song on the album. the album is more thoughtful than some of the others, one of the most thought provoking is Dancing for the groceries.
I would say to anyone give the albun a go it is one of my most played cd's since I brought it

I love Kenny Chesney's Album! Live these songs and young are my two favorite songs on the album. I would reccomend this CD to anyone (that loves country!)!
Release Date February 09, 2004
When this Luttrell, Tennessee, lad broke on the country scene, it appeared he was just another in a large crop of look-alikes and sound alikes. Now, as he's grown up a bit, Kenny Chesney certainly is one of country's superstars, as witnessed by the recent CMA success.
With "When the Sun Goes Down" there's no debate. He's hot and heavy, making the sophisticated (and not so sophisticated) TV talk shows and showing a depth that is not common with a lot of modern musical superstars.
In "I Go Back" and "The Woman with You," Kenny shows a depth of perception and performance that highlights this CD. His driving, rock-hard productions blend cleverly, creatively, and certainly the best of good rock and high-end country, a juxtapositioning ... Read More:

I awaited this album with baited breath ever since I heard Kennys When The Sun Goes Down album and went on to purchase every single one of his other CDs. What I got when I listened to this album was not what I expected.
Sometimes surprises are a good thing, but in this case I wasn't so sure. Don't get me wrong, the album has some good songs and Kennys voice really does shine and you can tell just how much it has matured, but you can't help but think 'well, wheres the country gone?'.
The songs have a pretty much tropical feel, and I'm not sure thats a good thing from a country singer? You can clearly tell though Kenny is singing about the things he loves and he deserves credit for putting something out there that pretty much is different ... Read More:

Kenny has cemented himself amongst CMTS big names, but util this album, i never got around to really listening to him, my collection is made up more of names like McGraw and Hill, Martina McBride, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Leanne Rimes and Rascal Flatts. But on our annual holiday to Naples Florida, i heard one of his songs on Gator Country radio. Its possibly one of the most emmotional and beautiful songs i have ever heard,.. emmotional because its about a young woman being taken well before her time,.. beautifull, because he sings this with the care and love of someone, who like me, has experienced this himself. The lyrics are just amazing, its like hes speaking my mind with how he questions death, and how unfair it is, but at the same time, the music soothes ... Read More:
