From Art Garfunkel introducing the band to us up to the present day, this is the best all round collection of African music. It is not trying to be too religious or too international. All the music is absorbing, tribal and african. It can be listened to in background or very loud. I would gladly have paid more for this collection.

This is the CD that I always turn to when things aren't going so well. The sublime harmonies, the sheer joy of singing and, dare I say it, the Christianity that shones through never fails to lift my spirits.
There is music to suit all moods on this album, some well known, others that seem familiar and a few that will be new to you. This has to be one of the top 10 feel-good albums. Buy iy, you won't be disappointed.

Gospel Songs

This album features the best of Ladysmith Black Mambazo's songs, all Gospel tracks. Mainly on CD1 the tracks revolve around the group's early songs from the 1970's or 80's, as you can tell by the sharp voice. CD2 is especially wonderful, you can tell the last five tracks are gospel indeed. Would recommend this to any longterm fan of the pioneers of Isicathamiya music.
