Yes there are Christmas Carol's such as Joy to the World, Silent Night, God Rest You Merry Gentlemen and O Holy Night which reflect the true meaning of Christmas. However, the tracks I'll Walk with God and Guardian Angels, whilst on a Christmas album will be played at anytime during the year! Lanza himself said that he sang as though his life depended on it, and that is obvious from the opening bars of every track on this compilation. He modelled himself on his idol Caruso, and his rich powerful voice enabled him to follow in that full-throated tradition. That style of singing was criticised by those weaned on the softer approach of the Gigli school, but modern taste seems to have swung back in his favour, as witness the success of Luciano Pavarotti.

If you ever saw Peter Jackson's "Heavenly Creatures" then you will already of heard of this man, yes this is the guy the girls where obbsessed with.
Mario Lanza has a voice to die for, pure heaven.He was a teen idol of millions of young girls in the 50s , singing in both English and Italien he swooned the females.
He also starred in many movies which some of the songs feature in this boxset.
At a bargain price this would fit nicely into anybodies Cd collection.
