this compilation is a must for any house music fan, whether you be new or old. MAW have been remixing and producing the best tracks in the business for over a decade now and the tracks on this cd shows not only their genius but diversity aswell. signature vocal tracks such as the truly sublime 'to be in love' and jocelyn brown featured 'its alright (i feel it) to more latin-jazz influenced tracks like 'el barrio' with george benson.the mix of tracks range from the nuyorican soul album to rnb remixes for the likes of kele le roc. this cd is unmixed so all the songs are full length for dj-ing delight. as a follow on from vol 1 its not as good overall, however the stand out tracks are huge!!! as a kenny and louie devotee i am biased when i say ... This features some rare classics (Blake baxter, including some less well known tracks of the time (Jungle Wonz), as well as stalwarts that will never lose there power to send a tingle down the back.

Only (minor) complaint, would be that the number of tracks on each cd limits the am,ount of time given to each. Still well worth a buy.

I agree with "rjaxx", just buy the cd 'cause it doesn't disappoint. I too bought this in '95. Looking back, '95 was one of the best years for house music, especially if you were in England, as I was. There are the classic cuts that stand the test of time: "Deliver Me"(which will be re-released on vinyl soon), "A Feeling", and a personal favorite "Get Up Off Me" -- I especially liked the "Masters At Work" vocal promo mixed into the track!

This album doesn't disappoint someone like me, a huge house fan of any genre. Vocal US house is one of the hardest things to do properly, especially on a cd that is expected to stand up to repeated listenings (and by jove does this cd do it PROPERLY!!)

Everyone who knows MAW will know pretty much what to expect from this double cd (the third cd is just a selection of mixes of individual tracks, and not the best selection, so should be regarded as what is, strictly ) But, as a long time fan, I have to say it's been a real pleasure to buy this and listen to it in the last few weeks...the quality stands up and you'll pop this on your cd deck for years to come.

although this is a great cd, the tracklisting is incorrect. according to the one on amazon, one of the tracks melissa morgan (still in love) should be on it. however, it is not, along with a couple of others.to add to the confusion the tracklisting on the back cover is also erroneous, however, an insert has been added which is correct!

this is particularly annoying since this is the second MAW cd i have bought and twice melissa morgan although listed has not appeared!

the record label really should do more to make sure that the listings are authentic as it becomes rather irritating.

otherwise a good cd, excellent value but still have no melissa morgan track.

These guys have only just begun to jam! Anyone who is a DJ is very likely to own a considerable amount of MAW records. This latest offering only waters your mouth for the 12" releases. "Like A Butterfly (You Send Me)", "Backfired", "Our Time Is Coming", "Every Now And Then" and "Latin Lover" are my favorites. Put in the cd and start dancin'!
