Rust in Peace: Remastered & Expanded

by: Megadeth

Release Date August 09, 2004
Well megadeth are one of my favourite bands though i wouldnt say this is their best cause i prefer Peace Sells and Youthanasia but it is a masterpiece the best songs are the classic Holy Wars, Hanger 18, Take No Prisoner, Tornado Of Souls & Rust In peace. The music is so technical the riffs are brilliant the solos are amazing the lyrics are great daves vocals may not be at his best but still awesome. If you're starting to get into megadeth buy this with Peace Sells But Whos Buying. Their both thrash metal Masterpieces

I dont see why some megadeth fans are dissapointed with this it's a brilliant album, not a filler track on it. i dont have a favourite track there all brilliant i mean how can a megadeth fan not like Kick The Chair, Blackmail The Universe, Die Dead Enough, Back In The Day, Truth Be Told is beyond me. This album is filled with brilliant songs, great lyics mindblowing solos e.g Kick The Chair, great vocals brilliant drumming and great riffs. This is just a brilliant metal/Megadeth album and another one of my fave megadeth albums every megadeth fan should have bought dont compare this to their older albums just listen to it for what it is. Greatest Hits - Back to The Start

by: Megadeth

Release Date June 27, 2005
I have just purchased megadeths greatest hits from amazon and what a collection of total masterpieces they are.
I have listened to megadeth for about fifteen or so years and have heard every song over and over but despite that this collection is proof that theyre music stands the test of time.
Most of the songs have been remastered and the clarity and punch of every beat hits you in the face when turned up.
The best thing about this compilation is that every song one after the other are good and work well until the end, not like some comps you get when half the songs tend to be skipped, you can leave it to play and its cool. so from a total fan from me to you" BUY BUY BUY IT "

United Abominations

by: Megadeth

Release Date May 14, 2007
I read the rave reviews in the music magazines and fell for the hype. This is a highly disappointing album. Musically it is overly complex and whilst Megadeth have always had this facet to their music, I can't help but feel Mustaine is trying a little too hard these days. The songs are also exceptionally verbose with excessive lyrics being crammed in to ludicrously fast songs.

Having tried to get into the album on several occasions, I have accepted failure and consigned my copy to the 'unlikely to be played again' box. I haven't even bothered to put any of it on my ipod, which when you consider that even St Anger is on there, should speak for itself.

Youthanasia: Remastered & Expanded

by: Megadeth

Release Date August 09, 2004
This album is amazing not a bad track on it. This album is very heavy and loud. The album starts of with the heavy riff of Reckoning Day a great album opener the album is just amazing from the start to finish. My favourite tracks have to be Victory (one of my favourite megadeth songs), The Killing Road, Train Of Conseqeunces, Reckoning Day & A Toute Le Monde. This is in my opinion megadeth's best coming out just after the succesful release of Countdown To Exctinction and in the time where grunge was taking over the music scene megadeth come out with an awesome heavy metal album which is Youothanasia, this is mustaine at his besta great start to Megadeth, no megadeth fan should be without this. This album rocks.

Killing Is My Business...and Business Is Good! [Us Import]

by: Megadeth

Release Date February 05, 2002
After getting unfairly kicked out of Metallica, Dave Mustaine went on to form Megadeth. And put together this record, from the outset it's just quality!!! From the strange piano intro of 'I loved you to death'. to the closer. It is a very raw sounding record but you can hear Megadeth's talent in playing and Dave Mustaine's ability to write classic songs!
If you luv thrash metal then you must own this album, it captures the spirit of the genre! Much like 'Never mind the bollocks captured the punk spirit. You get the feeling Dave Mustaine must be sitting back thinking...
How do you like them eggs Metallica!!! lol.

So Far So Good So What: Remastered & Expanded

by: Megadeth

Release Date August 09, 2004
Not one of Megadeth's best albums, neither is it all that bad, in fact it's pretty good. The album is best described as frantic and chaotic, perhaps a little cynical and a tad juvenile in tone compared to other Megadeth albums.

This album shines in songs such as "In My Darkest Hour", which was inspired by the death of Cliff Burton (Metallica), it is a dynamic song with plenty of tempo and mood changes.
Another good track is "Mary Jane", written about a girl of the same name who suffered from a mental illness and was burned at the stake during the infamous Salem witch trials.
The album also features a good cover of Sex Pistols' song "Anarchy In The UK", albeit with some incorrect lyrics but despite this, for me as a metalhead, it's a huge improvement ... Read More:

Warchest (4CD + DVD)

by: Megadeth

Release Date October 08, 2007
I've only recently got into to the 'Deth after the release of last album (the equally stunning) United Abominations and have been busying myself collecting all the 2004 re-releases.

I picked up the Warchest box-set because there is a lot of stuff I didn't have. There is a lot of album cuts on here that die hard fans will already have, but there's also a lot of stuff from compilations and film soundtracks, Japanese bonus tracks, unreleased live tracks and demos. Everything has been remastered so the sound quality is amazing.

Dave Mustaine must have put a lot of work in to this because everything is beautifully presented, the actual box itself is worth the price alone!

This is probably the best box set i've ever bought!

If you are looking to buy your first megadeth album then look no further the album has killer written all over it. Megadeth second album and it's a huge step up from Killing Is My Business. The vocals, solos, riffs, dumming everything has improved so much. No best they all rock and i dont see why people dont like I aint superstitious sure it doesnt go with the album but it still rocks. This is a must have in every thrash metal/Metal fans collection. Ignore any negative comment and buy without hesitation. Dave Mustaine You rock.

Countdown to Extinction

by: Megadeth

Release Date July 06, 1992
I think this is probably Megadeth's best album. It is the perfect blend between underground thrash and commercial thrash/hard rock. Every track is full of mind-blowing riffs and great lyrics. Dave has obviously really put a lot of time and effort into making this whole album, espicially the lyrics, which are surprisingly catchy! Tracks:

'Skin O' My Teeth': Awesome start to the album. Perfect opening track that jumps right out at you. Great riff, awesome lyrics. Sets a tone for the whole album. 5/5

'Symphony Of Destruction': Everyone knows this track. One of Megadeth's best and everyone knows the words. It has to be sung along to. Amazing start to this track with an awesome riff. 5/5

'Architecture Of Agression': Great track that isn't one of Megadeth's ... Read More:
