. The World Needs a Hero [VINYL]by: Megadeth Release Date May 14, 2001 This is not my favourite Megadeth albums but at least it's better than "Risk". They went back and wrote some great rock songs. I really like the songs "Dread And the Fugitive Mind", "Promises", "When" etc. It's not a bad Megadeth album. At least it's better than Metallica's "Load" and "Reload". |

Riskby: Megadeth Release Date August 31, 1999 Well what can i say,this is the album that seperates many a Megadeth fan.The title was chosen as Lars from metallica said that Megadeth never takes any risks,so Dave duly took this as a challenge and took a risk. It's a well produced album with a good sound in general for megadeth and on the whole Dave doesn't push his vocals beyond their capabilities(for a change).It starts off with insomnia(not the best track to kick off proceedings with)which kind of shows where Dave wanted this album to go,it seems looking for commercial radio sucess with catchier tunes.So an opening track that won't blow you away. Track 2 Prince Of Darkness kicks off this hit and miss cd for me,not a particularly heavy track,but the heaviest on this cd!!And ... Read More: |

. Countdown to Extinction [MINIDISC]by: Megadeth Release Date May 10, 1993 I think this is probably Megadeth's best album. It is the perfect blend between underground thrash and commercial thrash/hard rock. Every track is full of mind-blowing riffs and great lyrics. Dave has obviously really put a lot of time and effort into making this whole album, espicially the lyrics, which are surprisingly catchy! Tracks: 'Skin O' My Teeth': Awesome start to the album. Perfect opening track that jumps right out at you. Great riff, awesome lyrics. Sets a tone for the whole album. 5/5 'Symphony Of Destruction': Everyone knows this track.
