i have been listening to this CD since it came out and I've bought it in various formats more than 8 times. The times i've listened to this album are way beyond count!!this album IS the quintessence of thrash metal. Atmosphere,ferocity, production, musicianship,lyricism and treble to the MAX!!...it's got them all!!
as a teenager i have been a huge metallica fan...but all comparison FAILS when it comes to this particular gem!! it is by far in a league of its own!

whoever listens to pure metal music MUST own it.
whoever is looking for a place to start this IS it!

Killing Is My Business and Business Is Good

Killing is my Business is the first album from Megadeth and one of the greatest albums from any one of the four hoursemen of thrash. It's a re-master but even if you have a previous edition you should get this [this re-master was the 3rd time i bought the album... don't ask]. The quality is a great improvemet and These Boots is comical. It isn't comical because of the alt lyric, but because they're all beeped out. The liniar notes explain this aswel as other stuff and are quite interesting to read. The demos are also pretty cool. Also any Metallica fans who like Kill 'Em All... buy this and note how Mechanix is better than Four Hoursemen.

So Far, So Good...So What!

Where do I start. I love megadeth always have done, but this c.d. is shocking. From production to musical direction. Megadeth and cover songs just don't go together, I mean 'anarchy in the uk(usa), please! The only saving grace for this recording is the song 'in my darkest hour'. This could be one of their finest tunes. Shame about the rest. Don't let me put you off. megadeth really got back in their stride on the next c.d. 'Rust in peace'.
