Very Best Of + DVD

This to a Stones fan would always be expected to raise the question; "why did Mick want to do it?" Well over the years I've bought everything any of the Stones has produced and I find this album has grown on me over the months I've had it in the car.
Yes I know Disco beats and such are "Out of Time" but it does still sound good! As most of the album does not try to be anything other than a different slant on the same Stones theme; with its mixture if Soul, Reggae and Rock, it genuinely reflects Mick's work and the energy he brings to it.
Listen and pick out your favourites because I have been surprised how some of the less well known have really grown on me. You might be disappointed at first listen but Memo from Turner to Just another ... Read More:

Alfie: Original Soundtrack

I cant believe this only has 2 stars as i write this review. I watched the film Ages ago, and one of the things that strikes you is the great soundtrack driven nicely along by the Jagger vocals and Great musicianship of Dave Stewart. This is a truly great CD, worth anyones money. If you can see past the inclusion of a few remixes and acoustic versions of the same songs.. then you`ll love it as i do.

Wandering Spirit

The quality of these songs makes this album a good classic of the 90s as Mick goes through an great variety of styles with great enthusasium. There's real Stones rock in Wired All Night, Out Of Focus and Put Me In The Trash; funk in Sweet Thing; blues rock in Don't Tear Me Up and Use Me; country music in Evening Gown and Hang On To Me Tonight; Angel In My Heart and Handsome Molly aren't worth mentioning. Brilliant music - great lyrics put in a clear book. It's like those late 60s and early 70s Stones albums where every song is a great. Mick sings his heart out and puts most of modern rock music in the trash.

Goddess in the Doorway

my album of the year for 2002. for sure im a mick jagger fan,but i never expected this cd to be quite so wonderful. outstanding. its no wonder the walking cliche, mr.richards, speaks ever more bitterly of micks,outside (the stones)work.it has been,(keith..doth protest too much), clear to most stones fans for a very long time,where all their strongest melodies come from,and this cd just underlines the fact. great tunes,some surprisingly personal lyrics,and mick voice sounds stronger than ever,all add up to my favourite mick offering since Tattoo You.other reviewers named their favourite tracks,all superb,(except maybe-everybodys getting high-which grates on me personally,but thats just me),anyway, i think the two mid-tempo closing tracks ,are for me,two ... Primitive Cool

This is a quality album of great songs! My favourites include Throwaway, the hypnotic singalong rocker Let's Work and Say You Will, a passionate rousing number with real soul and emotion. There's a touch of country in Party Doll, while Peace For The Wicked has an R&B feel, and Shoot Off Your Mouth is good old rock and roll again. The melodic quality of the songs is impressive and he sings with heartfelt emotion. This is as good as any of the 90s Stones albums.
