Very commercial selection with likes of scooter,deedee,milky,milk inc etc.But these songs by them are good and this people are fairly good esually milk inc with tunes like in my eyes.With also some well know tunes by ian van dahl like reason now i love that song.A collection of commercial dance and even flava of rnb by missy elliot and dnb by goldtrix.
If you hate commericial dont bother but if dont mind abit commercial like me its good.

In response to those who thought this was not a good album....Are you mad? There is no comparison to Black Legends and Armen Van Heldens new tunes which are undoubtably the songs of the summer 2000. Listening to this album, no matter where you are, can do nothing but bring a smile to your face and a spring into your step. With one excellent tune after another Pete Tong brings yet another banging dance compilation to my collection which will be looked back on admirably in memory of the summer to come. A must buy!

Now having the Essential Selection series back, as a new home with Trust The DJ, it is a great news, u now what to except from a man such as Pete, big tunes and great exclusives... and no signs of Flip & Fill, Scooter or DJ Sammy.
Pete kept himself very much in the underground with this collection, lots of tasty funky numbers such as "Eastwich & Holloway - No. 1", "Meat Katie meets Lee Combs" and "Mooncat". Still there is room for big club anthems with no cheese, such as Sam La Moore, Paul Woolford's huge Out Of My Life and M Factor. Plus u getting that Playgroup tune that is so good...
This comp is for clubbers who wants good dance music and as Pete said, thru the underground let's bring the dance scene alive again.

I have always been a Pete Tong & Paul Van Dyk fan. After collecting the Ministry of Sound Annual II and then receiving a copy of the 2CD set Live at Gallery with Paul Van Dyk, I have always appreciated the difference in styles between the two, yet amazed that they complement each other so well.

Christmas Day 2000, my father and sister come home with this CD and I ask where it came from, thinking it was my Christmas gift, to discover Pete & his family had spent the day on my fathers boat.
