One for the Moby completest possibly, but I really like this track and would highly recommend picking up this up on both CD formats. Released in France only, to promote the recent 'best of', this is an upbeat remix of Slipping Away (produced by Manhattan Clique), with Mylene Farmer providing a rather lovely duet with Moby's lyrics.
This (blue) CD contains four tracks, three of which are remixes and in my opinion sound identical to the remixes by the same people for the original UK release, just with Mylene Farmer's vocals added in.
The tracks are as follows:
1) the single version of Crier La Vie, and
2) an Axwell remix, and
3) a Zloot remix, and
4) an MHC Club remix
It's a very uplifting track and quite ... Read More:

Moby hasn't had a single for quite a while now, so when I heard Lift Me Up, I was pleased - it was different to what I had expected, but I knew Mr Hall had brought a new dimention to his music, and it was interesting.
Lift me up is a nice contemporary piece of pop rock really, Moby quivering lyrics sprawl a nice instrumental, he's not scared to use guitars - yet he doesn't seem to want to go back to his electronic roots on here either, which is refreshing - yet sad all at the same time.
The remixes are interesting, specially Mylo's - he's gone for a Prince influenced remix, niuce though, as it has some cool chords and excellent use of vocals.
Abe Doque has gone for a more acid approach, which is cool, he's gone back ... Read More:

This is from his first Mute album (his first proper album) and predates play by quite some way, and is from a different phase in his development. If you don't have it already, (maybe, like millions of others, you got into Moby via Play) the parent album Everything is Wrong is well worth exploring, as are the singles he released to accompany it.
This four track ep set, weighing in at 24 minutes, is excellent. The single version of Hymn is far superior to the comparatively tame album incarnation, the vocal contributions lifting it to a whole other level.
The H.O.S. mix of All That I Need is to be Loved is very rocky and makes a good companion to the lp version.
The two extended versions of Hymn (both over eight ... Read More:

This (red) card slip-case CD contains just two tracks as well as some 'Opendisc' technology, with which any Moby fans will now be familiar with. It leads to a video introduction by Moby in this case, together with a photo gallery, so is hardly extensive, but interesting enough.
The tracks are as follows:
1) the single version of Crier La Vie, and
2) an extended remix, or 12" version as we used to ... Read More:
