Although these guys could never maintain a high level throughout each of their albums like skynyrd did, and as such never made a huge comercial impact, they are truly a great band to listen to - their style of music seems to be both fun in places and dark in others. In terms of southern rock, molly hatchet are certainly heavier than people like alman brothers or skynyrd, and actually i think this makes them really interesting.
as for the cd, i have no quibbles with the casing, leaftlet thing etc, all is of good quality, and the music itself is great.
Highlights for me include Gator Country, Flirtin' with disaster, Bloody Reunion, Boogie no more and the creeper, with 'Gator...' and '...Creeper' being probably my personal ... Read More:

Having been brought up on a diet of the mighty Zep, Pink Floyd, Uriah Heep,Deep Purple etc I was pleasantly surprised when I came across this band on a free CD which accompanied a magazine. The album,in my opinion has a unique sound, the lead singer has a voice that identifies the band, like Plant is to Zep. The classic track on this album is track 4, Fall of the peacemakers, a melodious track which results in a nice bit of guitar playing, which is dedicated to all MIA and KIA, of the Vietnam conflict. All in all a good, quality Southern Rock band, producing good quality music. Would look good in any music collection. The other CD I bought along with No Guts, No Glory was The Deed Is Done, again another good bit of southern rock. Shame I never found ... Read More:

Possibly the most under rated live recording of all time. At the time of the live recording (1984) Hatchet had honed their live sound to an almost telepathic ability, the guitar interplay between Dave Hlubek and Duane Roland (especially on the epic 'Fall of the Peacemakers') is epic beyond belief and 'Edge of Sundown' from lead singer Danny Joe Brown's solo album is given a savage shot of adrenalin.
I was lucky enough to meet keyboard player John Galvin at the Sweden Rock Festival in 2006 and he felt the production wasn't all that good (!), I think the great man is being modest, it's a stunning sound.
It's a pity that two original numbers 'Walk with you' and 'Walk on the Side of the Angels' were cut to fit this on a single CD. ... Read More:

Molly Hatchet are Lynryd Skynryd with bollocks. If you ever found Skynyrd a little bit too weak, then Hatchet are the answer. It`s a superb album of Southern rock at it`s finest and heaviest, Bobby Ingram has transformed the band from a Skynryd wannabee to a full blown out heavy rock act. Marvellous stuff.

The most amazing live album you could wish for! Stunning production, fantastic live sound and feel and a set let list you'd sell your soul for. Usually there are one or two gripes, but this has everything (ok, we could have had "Silent Reign of Heroes" but that's being waaaaaaay too picky).
Highlights are difficult to name as the quality and choice is so high, but the drums on "Tatanka" and Bobby Ingram's lead guitar on "The Journey" are worth the price of the disc alone. On this live disc you even get to hear John Galvin's keyboards and the solid bass of Andy Kinney (among others).
It's totally faultless really, so stop reading this and go and buy it - you'll be grinning like lunatic after about 4 numbers! - Yeeehahah! - the south ... Read More:

It's almost as though someone took hold of the major Southern Rock bands at the back end of 2003/4 and said `Look Boys, enough of this namby pamby stuff. What the fans really want is an album that kicks some major booty !!'
Hence, 38 Special produced `Drivetrain', Skynyrd produced `Vicious Cycle' and Molly Hatchet produced `Warriors Of The Rainbow Bridge' all 3 of which are the best albums from these bands for some time.
To concentrate on `Warriors'- the first thing that you notice about this album is that the sound is huge. The drums really stand out on this album but they are not over-powering. Secondly, the guitars have some riffs that would not have sounded out of place on the first 2 Hatchet albums - except they're now louder.

I have to start by saying I'm biased - I love this album. Southern rock & roll with some real blistering guitar work. This always feels like quite a raw album but this just adds to the quality.
Some superb tracks & a must for any fan of the genre. For me, still their best album. I can get lost in this record,my personal favourite "Gator Country" is an absolute standout classic.
As good a place as any to start if you want to sample a bit of Molly Hatchet - a quality record.
