UK dancepop duo Moloko are in fine form in "Things to Make And Do," their third blend of acid jazz and trippy electronica. The talented Roisin Murphy and Mark Brydon create a charmingly erratic dance album that sounds like nothing else, yet never fails to draw you in.

It opens with a peculiar piano solo, before kicking into the sexy sax-keyboard of "Pure Pleasure Seeker," and the ominously trippy "Absent Minded Friends." A darker note enters with songs like "Being Is Bewildering," which is technically a more "normal" song, a slow and rather melancholy song based on acoustic guitar and organ. Do You Like My Tight Sweater

Funky trippy jazzy electronica. That's about all it takes to sum up Moloko's colorful debut "Do You Like My Tight Sweater?", which never stops with the wild sounds and cool bizarrity. Whether mixing airy organ with drum'n'bass or dipping into acid jazz, there is never a dull moment here.

"I dreamt that I was dreaming, I was wired to a clock,/Tickled by the minute hand tick tock tick tock," intones Roisin Murphy in a weird, robotic voice. Behind her is a swirl of piano and funky dancebeats, occasionally straying off into mellow electronic tones. And that's just one song.

I Am Not a Doctor

arriving late to the review party but you'll never a dull moment from start to finish with this album.

if you like the quirks and effects heard on ...tight sweater fused with the anthemic moloko tracks we are used to hearing (sing it back etc) then have a pece of this pie because it is good.

opening with a D n B number the album sets the bar high and it carries on delivering constantly shifting tempo and mood. Through from electronica, broken stilted beats, lazy lucid vocals, craftwerk-like interludes, fat dance beats iam not a doctor has it all.

this is good good good. do it get it!

sure, best known Moloko tracks = great. but what you've got here are all 'radio edits' - the shortest versions of each track - not even album versions = NOT GOOD!

Music From and Inspired by Batman & Robin

....It doesn't say much for the film then (please check my review for the VHS version of that). This album does have some tracks that don't really suit the character of Batman like the opening one 'The Beggining Is The End' By The Smashing Pumpkins, but there are also some nice tracks that seem a bit closer to the lead character's theme such as R Kelly's 'Gotham City'. There is also a track dedicated to music from the film which is a bonus as there was never an official recorded score to the film (which is odd for these days). It's very cheap on this site so even if you don't like the film, I suggest getting this as it's a good CD.

All Back To The Mine

This is by far one of my favourite albums. It is an album you can easily put on in the background of a cosy dinner, and also turn up the volume for the party afterwards. Excellent. If you are even a slight Moloko fan you should buy this album.
