Even though CD2 is slightly different, with different remixes it's still a brilliant single and shows off Matthew Bellamy's great vocal, Guitar and piano playing abilities. This single also highlights Chris Wolstenhome's bass playing and Dominic Howard's Drum playing! Overall this is a great single and is a typical style for muse! BUY THIS!

Devons finest serve up yet another fantastic couple of songs with this single. Deadstar is an excellent song with Matt trying out a strange style of slurred singing against powerful guitar riffs and a driving bassline. In Your World begins with a beautiful piece of a piano before changing to a thumping guitar driven anthem. It's impossible to comprehend the absence of these songs from one of muse's studio albums (only appearing as live tracks on the hullabaloo dvd and cd). The one dissapointing thing about this cd was the fact that the live versions of the songs included on it are infact the same ones available on the hullabaloo soundtrack live album which many muse fans will already have.

This is a lot different to what they're done before. It's not the useal greyish raw emotion muse have (this isn't a bad thing i love muse!) Instead they've funked it up a bit. It's gives the song a sleazy feel to it. But you can still hear muse's useual style shineing through. It's a great song don't get me wrong! but it's definatly a grower. First time i heard it i thought it was alrite, but after around 3 or 4 listens i love it! So don't poo poo it at first, give it a chance. If you're a muse fan like me, it'll at first feel like being a fish out of water, but then you'll devolop lungs and feet!

I was happily looking round the shops when I spotted this little gem, and I was thinking yay Muse on DVD!! Finally I can watch them and hear them play! When I got it home and put it in my DVD play I was quite disappointed to find that this not include the Bliss video on it. I would've thought they would've done but obviously they're just wasting space on it! Instead they have the audio track as a sound track for a couple of various features, including the "Making of Bliss video", a lyrics page for the song, and a discography. There's not much else to it. If you haven't got a great sound system on your TV, there's probably not much point in buying the DVD but I think it's still well worth it for the music :) And the making of Bliss is quite interesting. ... These talented Men have once again produced a great ballad with the ability to move any average person. you get the impression they have put all efforts into becoming a well known band (and comparisons with Radiohead cannot be a bad thing). The song uses great acoustics and outstanding vocals with some great song writing potential. These lads will go far if they carry on the way they are going. And I wish them all the luck in the world.

Probably one of the best singles Muse has ever produced, Butterflies and Hurricanes is a truly epic song, with this version containing superb guitar playing instead of brilliant piano playing (but the virtousic piano solo has still been kept in. Wahey!), spine tingling vocals, bass tapping and fingerstyle that will make you drop your bottom jaw with awe, and breakneck drumming. Truly fantastic! The live Radio 2 acoustic version of Sing For Absolution is actually really good as an acoustic song, giving it a different feel to the album version. The best bit? The fact that you get some software on the single that allows you to mix Butterflies and Hurricanes to whatever you want, be it less guitar and more piano. The options are endless! 5 out of 5 for the boys from ... Read More:

This is not their best album, worth listening to, definitely. I would urge you to buy it but if it's a choice of different muse albums go for Black Holes and Revelations. Very good lyrics and the songwriting is upto scratch as usual. Still very good.
Release Date September 17, 2001
Can they be stopped? The album sure says no! With there new single on it ,it is a have to get as I think it's there best yet and once you hear it i'm sure you'll agree. With the awesome punch that the band have always had it will knock you out.

This single makes the rest of the 'indie' scene look lifeless, devoid of inspiration and passion. If only the standard of commercially viable 'indie / alt rock was as good. But then again, who am I kidding??? Buy it. If it doesn't have the tingles going up and down your spine and make you get that excited 'I feel like jumping up and down like a complete loon' kind of feeling, I don't know what will. Brings back my long gone faith in Indie music.
