. Destroy Rock 'n' Rollby: Mylo Release Date September 12, 2005 This album (the extended version of "Destroy Rock And Roll") is largely unlike the singles that were so popular a while ago. About two thirds of the tracks are vaguely reminiscent of Bent, in that they are downbeat, filled with quirky samples and surprisingly catchy. I'd give this album a higher rating if it weren't for the half dozen naff cheesy dance tracks: mash-ups of Eighties hits which, frankly, are better left in the decade that taste forgot. OK so they serve the purpose of drawing attention to what is actually a rather well crafted album, but those who are expecting lots of tunes like "Drop the pressure" and "In my arms" will be sorely disappointed. Hopefully Mylo will have the courage of his convictions not to jump on the next bandwagon ... Read More: |

. Doctor Pressureby: Mylo Vs Miami Sound Machine Release Date September 05, 2005 This really is horrible, if I could have given a Zero star rating I would have. Anyone who loved "Drop the pressure", or was a fan of the original release of "Destroy rock and roll" will hate this. It's a cheesy, low rent, Richard X bootleg style mash up of Gloria Estefan and Miami Sound Machine's cheesy eighties camp "classic" Doctor Beat and Drop the Pressure. When Mylo was hailed as "the saviour of dance music" no one in the world could ever have dreamed that he's eventually going to produce this rubbish. If this has got anything at all to do with Mylo (or is it just his record company trying to wring a few more quid out of an album that's almost two years old), the saviour of dance music has stopped being the solution and become part of ...
