This is a wonderful set of songs which show off Natalie's singing talents brilliantly. The songs are quite traditionally done with a big band orchestra, but natalie's sweet voice always shines through.
The highlights of the album are the beautiful ballads, the melencholy 'Lush Life' and the superb medley of 'for sentimental reasons, tenderly, Autumn Leaves'. The upbeat tracks that shine through are 'Orange Coloured Sky' and the brilliantly arranged 'Almost Like Being in Love'
This album I feel will apeal to most tastes, especially those who love the songs of Nat King Cole. It is an album full of highlights, the only song I don't really like is the 'duet' of Unforgettable. I feel she would have been much better off singing ... Read More:

Daugther of the famous Nat King Cole, Natalie Cole is a star in her own right. Her soulfull voice is a joy to listen to.
Having heard her on Parkinson I went straight out and bought this album. Whilst a couple of the songs are slightly weak, the rest make up for it and it was definately worth the money.

Well I don't know what the previous viewer heard but I was at the same show and Natalie was fantastic! I suspect he's the same person that was moaning on her website about his seat. Natalie really rocks on this CD. My favorites are "Leavin" "Lovin Arms" "Criminal" and "You Gotta Be"

This is a great CD with some really nice vocals by Natalie. I won't comment on the first track as I have no particular criticism of it except to say that perhaps this is Natalie's own tribute to her father as it was "his" song and should perhaps always remain so.
The other tracks on this CD are lovely and Natalie turns in some really terrific vocals. The London Symphony Orchestra add a richness and depth to the whole recording. I have to be honest and say that I only like albums where artists are accompanied by a wonderful lush orchestra with great orchestral arrangements.
I don't usually highlight any particular tracks on an album in my reviews as it could be taken that the rest of the tracks are substandard but in this case I just ... Read More:

There are a few good numbers - 'Tell Me All About It', 'So Many Stars', 'My Baby Just Cares for Me', which show the vocalists talents in the best light. Theres also 'Better Than Anything with Diana Krall' which is fun. I wouldn't mind hearing more from this pair. 'Soon' is cracking good number which is superbly executed. Otherwise it's a collection of rather lacking after dinner - vaguely jazzy songs which are very well done but not quite so enjoyable. It's always going to be difficult to put together another collection of songs as cohesive, strong, perfectly and lovingly executed as Unforgettable.
Natalie Cole's presentation, phrasing, vocal dynamism and beautiful tone make this album well worth buying. She is let down by some ... Read More:
