Everybody Got Their Somethingby: Nikka Costa Release Date August 13, 2001 I was really looking forward to this CD after reading all the positive reviews about it and I have to say I am HUGELY disappointed with it! The only stand-out track for me is 'Everybody Got Their Something.' It became a chore to listen to and some of the songs sounded extremely repetitive, but Nikka still has an amazing voice and that was why I didn't turn the CD off. So all in all a bit of a let-down, ne'mind. |

I thought I'd start buying Costa's albums based on... 1 - The outstanding track "Here Comes the Fuzz" - title track from Mark Ronson's first album 2 - The single "Like a Feather" - which I loved. 3 - She has an amazing funk/rock voice and spirit. Sadly, this album started fantastically but it was downhill all the way after that. Singing becaomes FAR too screechy on early tracks, songs begin to sound samey, formulaic, mediocre...
