The album was fantastic! The selection of songs was good. The songs are beautifully sung; I especially enjoyed `Don't Know Why' and `Nightingale'. Norah has a great voice, her music is soothing. NORAH JONES - come away with me, is definitely a good buy!

If you love these "black" rhythms (soul, blues, country), you will enjoy this cd; this album is very delightful, sensitive, beautiful, introspective... and personal; you can hear this album in a midnight show, with candle lights, with somebody who's in love with you in a romantic place inside and the effect will be magic... Pure "Plastic Soul, Man" (as Paul McCartney said on "Beatles Anthology 2"), I bought this album and I listened it many times without get bored... It's symply marvelous, a wonderful piece of Norah's work.
Enjoy the piano, enjoy the acoustic guitars, enjoy the drums, enjoy Norah's voice...ENJOY ALL!!!

Feels Like Home

Firstly another fantastic collection of tracks by the beautiful norah jones & luckily for me my cd is copy protection free,the ones with protection have a symbol on the back cover,my mum bought a copy of the cd before me & was unaware of the copy protection,the sound quality on hers compared to mine is to put it mildly 'garbage',it's muffled & distorted when played on a normal cd player & just ruins the listen,done her a copy of mine,since she's already paid good money for an inferior cd,i feel it is well within my rights to make a copy! plus the copy of mine is far superior to the distorted copy protection original,think on EMI!

Exactly why this particular album became a huge international success while other, equally brilliant, albums sell only in small quantities will remain one of life's mysteries. Maybe it is the blend of jazz and pop with a little country thrown into the mix although there is nothing new about this - it happened throughout the 1940's. Listen to Jo Stafford, Dinah Shore, Margaret Whiting or the Dinning sisters, to name just a few singers who did just that. Of course, most people these days are unfamiliar with the music of these wonderful ladies. So young people think that Norah represents something new while older listeners see Norah as a revivalist of their kind of music.

I much prefer Norah Jones on this even though 'Come way with me' is great. I wish she would do more jazz than country. This album is superb and deserves to be known more. 'New York City' is my favourite track.
