With the West Coast practically ruling gangsta rap in the early nineties, it says something for Biggie Smalls a.k.a. Notorious BIG that he almost single-handedly shifted attention back onto the East Coast in 1994, and that with only two proper albums his legacy measures up to Tupac's. Indeed, many still consider him to be the greatest to ever pick up the mic, and this album is the majority of the reasoning behind that stance.

This album is just Bad Boy cashing in on their best employee losing his life.
Where is the track 'Gimme the Loot' (one of Biggies best)?

I personally don't like Puffy, Diddy or whatever he calls himself these days.

This is a lazy production with the only intention of making a fast buck

The album is OK the best song is with Jay-z (a true rapper). My advice is don't spend the £6.97 on Amazon. Get it cheaper on Ebay.

Born Again: Parental Advisory

Born again definitely shows Biggie's rhyming skill! And although some may think that the mainstream modern guests ruin the album, i don't! They give a great modern feel to the album!
The songs are engaging with some deep thought provoking lyrics, and also some humour from the late great notorious!
Highlights are Dead Wrong with Eminem! Big and Em make a formidable duo, and this track is so much better than 'it has been said'! Em spits heat, but i think that Em is, for once killed on a track!
Reccomended to any rap fan

I admit that having loved Nasty Boy (Life after Death) I didn't really like what Diddy et al had done with this "remix" at first (is it truly a remix or a form of "answer back"?).

However, after the radio stations played it and i'd seen the video a couple of times on TV I started to warm to it.

Having said that I'm now completely hooked on this tune, you can really see why they had to call in so many people to help with the production/vocals etc as this track really seems to have it all - that said it also shows how much talent B.I.G. had when he can come up with a track like Nasty Boy pretty much single-handedly and it takes a small army of todays rap artists/producers to even match it.
