I think the title ive chosen to head my review says it all.Xanadu the album(ELOs contributions only)is more of what we've come to expect from the greatest band of all time.The other songs on the album vary in quality between not bad and down right awful.DO NOT!!!! buy this album then think to yourself"He's full of it,these songs are great,im buying the film"cos this atitude will only leave you however many pounds,dollars whatever lighter in the pocket and have taken up 90 minutes of you.re life you'll never get back.so In conclusion get the album,dont follow this up by seeing the movie.

It is clear from reading other reviews on Amazon and elsewhere that people have mixed feelings about this collection. Some would have an album of entirely new recordings (and maybe more original songs and fewer covers) while others would have preferred an album comprising entirely re-issues. Perhaps it was decided that this compromise would suit everybody. Certainly, I'd been expecting a compilation of Cliff's duet hits ever since the release of his 6-CD boxed set (Singles collection), which contained every British solo single that Cliff had recorded up to that point, but noticeably avoided all the duets. Grease - 25th Anniversary Deluxe Edition

I remember the queues for this film and the music must have been a surefire magnet. The music is indeed spellbinding. I remember watching Top of the Pops and waiting to see if Boney M's "Brown Girl in the ring' or Grease's "Summer Nights" would be the No.1. Other tracks worth mentioning such as Greased Lightning, Hopelessly Devoted To You and You are The One That I Want make this a fitting complement to Travolta's previous "Saturday Night Fever.'
Had the Internet been popular in the 1970's, this definitely would be a Popular Review.

I was at the Sydney Opera House and saw this show Live, she just sounds fantastic, Sydney Siders forget how good the opera House is for live music. The Sydney Symphony and her voice just work!

There where a few surprises like her duet with Peter Allen (He died in 1992).

Well worth getting both!!The DVD and CD - A great memory in Sound!

first off the reviewer who gave this album one star obviously knows nothing about olivia newton john she is the original chameleon among female pop stars and now we see her spiritual needs merge with her passion for singing.the lyrics have a spiritual message which people who have no spiritual need may call twee.

the album flows from track one to the final award winning track instrument of peace.the music is beautiful throughout and wow olivias voice is absolutely stunning.

With indigo we saw olivia become a tourch sinnger dabbling with some jazz refrains,now she is a new age artist.what next from the legend who has been giving us her heart for nearly FORTY years.

a uk tour would be nice olivia

I guess 'Grease' really sums up Olivia's contribution to the pop scene - cool, calm and collected as the country girl with the silky voice, with tracks like 'Sam', 'I Honestly Love You', 'A Little More Love', 'Deeper than the Night', 'Take Me Home'......et al. Middle road with the early tracks in Grease....., progressing to the 'chick' at the end, with 'You're the One that I Want'!
A dynamic image change from 'Sandra Dee' to Pink Lady, 'Sandie'!

This CD is a mix of the lively and the lovely, with the lyrics to 'Banks of the Ohio', surprising the odd new listener!
Our personal favourites are:- 'Magic', 'Xanadu', 'Physical', 'Heart Attack' and 'Long Live Love'.

Totally Hot [Australian Import]

Occasionally you find a gem amongst the rough. This is exactly what Totally Hot is; and that isn't a reflection of ONJs work because she has proven herself an extremely credible artist. This album was released way before I was born yet today this could pass for something recorded in the late 90s. It has dated extremely well probably because it was crafted to last. This album is definately an essential for ONJ fans - and a must have for anyone remotely interested in the ONJ catalogue.
