I bought 'The Dude' as an audio tape when it first came out and it travelled the world with me when I went on holiday. Absolutely amazing sounds when chillin' around the pool. If you've ever been in a relationship it's impossible to listen to the words of 'Just Once' and not empathise. I still have the tape (cover faded with the sun) but bought the CD when that came out and continue to get as much pleasure from listening to it as I did in the 80's. If you haven't got it in your collection and you're a lover of perfection then I urge you to buy it!

Back on the Block

Diverse, Jazzy, Funky and Soulful

I bought this album over 10 years ago and it still sounds as brilliant and in vogue today as it did then. I would even call it one of the best R'n'B albums of all time taking into account I am a big Stevie Wonder fan who unfortunately did not guest on this particular album. Quincy Jones a man who lives and breathes music, producing, arranging and sometimes composing for such greats as Frank Sinatra, Count Basie, George Benson, Michael Jackson .......... not to mention classic soundtracks to films such as The Italian Job and In the Heat of the Night. Back on the Block is one his best 'solo' albums.

Q's Jook Joint

As always, this is a well produced and fun CD from Quincy Jones' hand. Well-done, but not over-done.

Featuring a huge bunch of famous stars, Q gets all of them together for something that could possibly be described as a structured jam session.

The record is funky and tight, with many excellent grooves. Usually, when I start listening to it, it makes me want to hear more... and when I've heard all of it, I'm kind of full and wants to go on to something else, so I guess it is just like a well prepared meal :-)

The Wiz [Us Import]

I am currently doing the musical production of the Wiz with my school and i have to say i think the music is incredible!! Every song i have performed and listened to while acting have been superb and the soundtrack is so amazing! "You can't win" and "Brand new day" are fantastic and they stick in my head all the time. i have watched the Wiz once before on tv and i thought it was amazing. Michael jackson was superb and so were the other actors. I feel pleased and privelaged to be working on the Wiz at this moment in time and i am so happy i have been introduced to a fantastic glittering array of songs!!!

The Ev'ry Valley and Rejoyce "arias" is the best!
Raw and full of emotions! Its a shame they didnt record the whole Messiah!! A real GEM!!
