Raffi is a Canadian children's singer, and having grown up in Canada, this album is a major part of my childhood. Memories of long car journeys singing the songs with my sister, mum and dad, making up new verses for Down By The Bay and using the names of the people we knew for Willoby Wallaby Woo are great.

And it felt like a special club, because none of my friends knew the songs!

Now I am a mum, my 21 month son has already been exposed for months to the joys of Raffi and I hope will grow up with similar memories to me.

Buy this album for your kids - they are songs that adults will love to sing as they are so much more fun than ordinary nursery rhymes!

Corner Grocery Store and Other Singable Songs

This is an excellent CD! Corner Grocery Store has funny songs. It has some songs for older kids like me and some songs for younger kids. All the children in my family like this CD. My parents even like listening to it and say it is quality music for children. This was my favorite CD when I was younger and I still like it. My younger sister really likes it and we listen to it a lot. I recommend it for any kid up to maybe age 8.

I listened to "Singable Songs For The Very Young" when I was growing up, and I feel it made a positive difference in my life. Now I play it for my children, and they love to listen to these great children's songs. This CD has made a great contribution to our family life.

Baby Beluga

I bought this cd for my little girl who is one and a half years old and likes to dance .... having heard it twice she immediately recognises it now every time i take it out to play, and she swings her arms and stomps her feet and sings away (in her own way!). Her favourite one is OATS AND BEANS AND BARLEY!!
Its a great cd, highly recommended!!!!!

The Singable Songs Collection

We love this CD. I've bought so many rubbish childrens song cd's in the past. This one is fab. We love all the songs and the children particularly like Shake your sillies out, Sur le Pont d'Avingnon, a Peanut butter sandwich and the Zombis. There are a good range of instrumental sounds - lots have got a foot tapping cajun feel. Very listenable too, catchy, singalongable! This was made in 1976 - but honestly you would never know this - it is very contemporary and not dated one bit. Great value with the 3 CD's. Corner Grocery store is the favourite of all three - but they're all great.

I LISTENED TO THIS TAPE GROWING UP SO MUCH THAT I WORE OUT TWO COPIES. THE SONGS ARE GREAT TO SING WITH AND DO NOT GET OLD PLAYED OVER AND OVER. THE SONGS IN FRENCH AND SPANISH ARE VERY NICE. THIS IS GOOD, EDUCATIONAL MUSIC TO GROW UP WITH. I AM NOW A COLLEGE STUDENT AND STILL LIKE HEARING THIS TAPE. IT BRINGS BACK FOND MEMORIES. THANK YOU RAFFI FOR YOUR MUSIC.

What a superb album,my sister in law Naomi recently visited from America to see our new born son Ollie,she brought with her a selection of Raffi songs to play as she loved them when she was young.Ollie who is only 5 weeks old loves listening to this album and smiles as soon as we play it. In fact the songs are so catchy that I am often singing them to myself as well. Well worth buying. Thanks Naomi.

Raffi's Christmas Album

We first came across Raffi when my kids were at the International School in Grenada, from about 16 years ago onwards! This Canadian singer has a wonderful way of singing so even the smallest of kids can join in, and so mine grew up with his songs at every school performance. The Christmas Album is magical, and even though my kids are bigger now, we still have to play this cd every Christmas, especially while putting up the tree. I've just come online to buy another one for my first grandchild, for his first Christmas.
Simply Magical.

I can't express how much joy this one song has given me. the most infectious tune ever would not be an exageration. i'm not a raffi fan, the fact that i'm 21 might be the reason but i needed to write this rewiew just to express how fun 'bananaphone' is. well worth the cover price for this masterpiece. bring on the fan club...
