Volkerball [CD + DVD in CD Digipak]

Having bought all their cds after seeing "Sonne" on MTV I knew what to expect with this cd + dvd set.
And I got it!

Most of the live dvd is from Nimes amphitheatre [2005]; the songs are the ones you want to hear live: REISE REISE, LINKS 234, FEUER FREI, ASCHE ZU ASCHE, MEIN TEIL, DU HAST, AMERIKA, SONNE, ICH WILL and many more. There is also a great version of Depeche Mode's STRIPPED, the riff at the begining is to die for. Johnny Cash did a great alternative version of this song too. I have all 3 and they're all brilliant in their own way. All we need now is Lily Allen's version... ok, maybe not.
There are 4 more tracks from Brixton and 3 from Tokyo - meaning you get another hearing of SONNE, FEUER FREI, MEIN TEIL and ... Read More:

Mein Teil

The only reason I bought this CD was because of the 1st track: an uncut version of the orrigonal song Mein Teil [my part/thing] by german industrial rock band rammstein. I thought the other 3 tracks, 2 of which are about 7 minuets would be worth listening to.. How wrong I was.. The`re crappy re`mixes by wannabe DJs who Rammstein somehow lrt onto thier disc. The only good thing about these tracks is that they feacher Till`s [Rammstein`s singer] singing. Otherwise they`r about a 99% dissapointment. The uncut version of the real Mein Teil at the beggining makes it all worthwhile though, and the`re are more pros than cons for this CD, [just about ): ] so I`d reccomend it.

Engel (Fan Edition)

This single is pretty much what you'd expect. If you love Rammstein, then you will love this.
I bought it for the track "Feuerrader" which can be a little tricky to find. "Engel" is also a great track. Rammstein delivers - as usual.

The answer: a much more gothic and dare i say sinister album in Reise Reise! This album does not dissapoint. True, this is no 'Mutter' part 2, but neither is it a 'Herzeleid' or 'Sehnsucht'. The truly good thing about Rammstein is their ability to evolve, try something new,and yet keep their fans happy and wanting more! Benzin

Benzin is a good song with the heavy guitars, and is one of the few decent songs on Rosenrot, along with Mann Gegen Mann, Rosenrot, and Zerstoeren. The combustion remix is O.K., but the smallstars remix is terrible. However, the single redeems itself with combustion remix by Apocolyptica, which is fantastic.
In the end, it is a good single with a few remixes, one rubbish, one decent, and one awesome.

Mutter

This cd is great! The Major attraction of this cd is the instrumental "5/4" track not on any other cd to date, it's 5:31 and has great drums and guitar work Rammstein fans already know and love. The 2 remixes are cool too, the vocoder mix is the original, with Till's voice altered by a computer to make it sound a lot different, the Sono's Incubator mix takes out all the words except for "mutter" , so it's almost like an instrumental and it's over 7 minutes long!! If you love Rammstein, get this cd now! :)
