'Till the Sun...' is so much more better than 'Trouble' in so many ways, I think I'd have to be a quadruped with 60 toes to count them all! (But one reason it's better is that it's offensibly, criminally dirt-cheap compared to trouble!) 'Be Here Now' almost reaches out of the darkness with its overdone horn and string arrangements, giving it a somewhat dream-like quality. The next track, 'Empty', is by far the best song on the album, with deep, emotional, bleak lyrics and a good mixture of piano, gentle percussion, strings and Ray on the guitar. 'Lay with Me' is also quite a sweet tune about breaking inhibitions, and 'Three More Days' is a funky, soulful little number. Trouble

this is wonderful music - not especially edgy but interesting nevertheless, and one of those albums you just dont stop playing. Its relaxing without being soporific. I love it, and at the price its a complete steal. Buy it - seriously, you wont regret it

Jolene

Yep, Jolene is a belter, no doubt about that. But the cover version that Ray does of Gnarls Barkley's Crazy is outstanding. Just him and his guitar, putting a totally new spin and meaning to this already good tune. Some of the best, most heartfelt singing I have ever heard on record (well ok, cd).

Three More Days

A great song that reminded me of some of the more upbeat Otis Redding songs (like Light my Candle), with a good bit of what sounds like a bontempi organ thrown in for good measure.
