Smoke 'em If You Got 'em

This album mixes surf rock/rockabilly/rock n roll/metal into one deliciously powerful force. The cd kicks off at a pace with 'Bullet' and continues to impress throughout. 'Marijuana' is a cool instrumental track with some crazy parts in it. Just buy this album! If you're into The Cramps then you'll love it and it's great if you haven't heard much of this kind of music.

Come on pilgrim...get yourself baptised by the Rev!

Heavyweight Champion of the World

After hearing 'Heavyweight' I was sucked into finding more. It was the freshest sound I had heard for a very long time. I was quite fraught as they had only this EP out at the time but since hearing them at King Tuts (23rd of July 07) only confirmed their rightful place within the ranks of the best new music around for 2007. If you can see them, do it. You will NOT be disappointed. Their new single 'He Says She Loves Me' is yet another corker. Alex Turner better watch out as his lyrics may be bettered....depressed seagulls is all i'm saying..

The Full Custom Gospel Sounds of Reverend Horton Heat

I came to this album thinking it would be the best Reverend Horton Heat I'd be likely to hear, judging from the reviews. Maybe I had my expectations unfairly heightened, but I found this to be much weaker than my favourite RHH album, 'Liquor in the Front'

There is still some pretty good stuff on here though. I found my head bobbing along quite happily to 'The Devil's Chasing Me' and 'Bales of Cocaine'. I wasn't under the influence of either at the time.

However, 'Loaded Gun' dragged like I couldn't believe, and the final track, 'Gin and Tonic Blues' was an absolute mess.
