Hot Shot

Ok, like most people I loved "It wasn't me" so when I went on a school trip I had some spending money and picked up this album to listen to on the coach home, It was brilliant and catchy listened to it for a few week and put it away. I recently rediscovered this and I have to say it is the best album I have ever heard, its got the up beat songs and the slower songs. But best of all it is the CD for players! If you are about to go out on a date and your nervous put this CD on it will make you feel invinsible. I cannot reccomend it enough! Buy it now!

The Best of Shaggy Vol.1: Mr. Lover Lover

Shaggy's just had one of the best comebacks in any performers career but his old music is also some of the best. Old mixed with new, in this case, works out for the best, especially by leaving out some of the more repetitive songs such as 'it wasn't me'.

Boombastic

This is definately Shaggy's best album. If you liked Hot Shot and wanted to hear his older music, you should go for this one. It includes the big hits, Boombastic and In The Summertime. It also gves youa more reggae feel than Hot Shot but still has those catchy songs thats he's known for. I bought this in 95 and it still gets play on my hifi! A classic, any one who likes Shaggy should own this!

The Essential Shaggy

shaggy has proved from his early hits "Oh Carolina" and "Boombastic" that he is one cool singer! Reggae music was big in the early 90s around the time "Oh Carolina" was released. Since then shaggy keeps coming back for more and this album "HOTSHOT" is a true reggae feel. "It Wasn't Me" is a memorable track and people will love it whenever they hear it again. Other standout tracks on this album are "Dance & Shout" (which samples the Jacksons song, "Angel" which has got a strong reggae feel to it and my favourite one "Luv Me, Luv Me" which blends pop and reggae for a feel-good party mood!! It Wasn't Me

It Wasn't Me is just one of those songs you love at first hearing because of witty lyrics, and soon you get to love the whole thing. I was wondering whether Shaggy will finally end his chart depression with this effort and soon after that this single hit #1 in the UK & US, and deservedly so. He comes up with great songs when he needs to, and this one is certainly his best in the past 10 years (beats Mr. Boombastic and Oh Carolina with ease). The single is OK, I guess, although I always hated those small-window videos.

Shaggy returns to dancehall for this album, and although the rhythms are infectious and the lyrics typically risqué and funny, it may be difficult for non-West Indian listeners to understand his Jamaican creolese.
