This is an incredible find. At first sight it seems to be a collection of the usual tracks plus one prevoiusly unreleased. How wrong can we be? There is one studio track otherwise unavailable - 'Same old feeling'. Two tracks, 'Back to Paradise' and 'Teacher, teacher' are from the soundtracks of two films and are not on any other compilation. The joy only increases out of all proportion when we find that 'Wild-eyed..',Stone cold..' & '20th Century Fox' are LIVE recordings from Houston, Tx, in 1986! The rest of the album are the studio recordings the fan will have - if only they could have been live versions also. Even so this album is a must-have for any fan of possibly the most under-rated group around.(Now all we need is the 1st ... Read More:

Funny really, i first had this tune banging out of my car sound system back in early 2003. Special D. are rather popular with the heavy Trance lovers as their tracks use very heavy bass with an almost Hardcore style lyrics. Their other tracks include King Of Da Beatz, To the Beat and Home Alone which i unfortunately have to say are not easy to obtain. Come With Me uses lyrics which are very repetitive but incredibly catchy and if you have a top quality sound system to blast this out of you'll probably have the entire family bouncing to it. By good i mean anything that can knock out 100+DB although yes you'll end up deaf after 3 minutes but hey, it's all gravy.

I looked at this & thought it looked good , the original line -up from maybe around 1980 period.
Then I looked at track listing & it is a recent recording with Ranking Roger from The Beat & a collection of members from The Specials & The Beat which have done numerous live lp's.
My suggestion is BUY original albums from around 79 - 82 Period by both bands & you won't be dissappointed.

38 special have been around since the 1970s. Their stock in trade is southern boogie, and it is no coincidence that their music is, in some ways, a development of their more well-known predecessor Lynyrd Skynyrd. Indeed, the lead singers of the two groups are brothers. Tour de Force is 38 Special's 6th album and, for me, by far the best. I know that so many reviewers give 5 stars, and it tends to be devalued, but this is one of only 2 or 3 albums of my collection of about 500 that would get 5 stars, and the only one for which I've written a review. Although it's a relatively short work (issued in 1983 when vinyl was king), each of the 9 songs is of top quality. From the story of rekindling a relationship in 'One time for old times' to the ...
