Brilliant start to cd with the uptempo That Don't Make Me A Bad Guy and the ballads are great too.

If you enjoy country and particuarly if you are a Toby Keith fan then you should have this CD. I have to admit that on a first pass I was disappointed but the more I played it the better it got.

Having bought "Pull my chain" i was eager to hear some of Tobys older stuff,i bought this album really to see what his music was like prior to "Pull my chain" and i have to say it is Brilliant.The lyrics on the album are truely heartfelt,and most of the songs are written by Toby himself not co written like his newer albums.Stand out tracks such as "whos that man" and "big ol truck" make you want to shed atear and yet Toby always manages to slip in a bit of humour.

Pull My Chain

Male Vocalist of the Year in the 2001 US Country Music Awards, this million-selling album certainly does it for me. His "new country" style has it all. Slow, moody ballad-type songs, fast, catchy numbers and his touch of humour all add character to this collection of great songs. I have 4 other albums of Toby's and all have a couple of songs that stand out, but with Pull My Chain I have difficulty naming a favourite song, I love them all. A real winner - this one certainly "pulls my chain".

Love Toby Keith - first heard him when on holiday in USA Sept. 2001 bought Greatest Hits, Millenium Collection, Unleashed all great and this is no exception- will be playing this alot.
Shame we don't hear more of this man in the UK!!!

This is a brilliant cd. It's all Toby, wonderful songs, the lyrics are wonderful, you get a laugh, there are the odd sad ones, but all in all he has surpassed himself on this album. What is it about this man that makes his songs so enjoyable to listen to time and time again? Seriously if you read this, buy the cd, it's great. I am a new country music fan, I have other cd's of other artists but this one is just great. Ok I'll shut up now. But it's true. Toby if you see this when is the next one being released, LOL? A Scottish Fan.

Unleashed

Wow what a brilliant album, with plenty of variety, superb lyrics and great tunes throughout. It kicks off on a high note with the angry Courtesy Of The Red, White And Blue which is followed by the catchy Who's Your Daddy with its wry lyric and rollocking beat. Next up is a song in Mariachi style, the lilting Good To Go To Mexico, one of the highlights on this great album.

It's All Good is a slower, soulful love song with poetic lyrics like "covered in kises, surrounded by love, showered with blessings from up above." Beer For My Horses, the duet with Willie Nelson, is another excellent country song infused with rock power and an anthemic chorus. Toby avoided all the obvious songs for this collection of Christmas songs. Indeed, the only cover (as far as I know) is the title track, an outstanding love song which I first came across on Lee Greenwood’s 1985 album, also titled Christmas to Christmas, and which has also been recorded by Tanya Tucker among others.

The songs here include all aspects of the festive season and cover all moods, mixing sad songs with happy songs. Christmas rock is a great rocking song. Blame it on the mistletoe is a reflective love song. Hot rod sleigh is an amusing song that will appeal to children of all ages.
