Octogenarian? Impossible! Tony Bennett teams up with current stars to delight with well-loved standards and a few which were new to me. How many times must he have sung "I Left My Heart in San Francisco" in his career? It must be in the hundreds. Yet it still comes out fresh from the Master. His duet with George Michael on "How Do You Keep the Music Playing?" shows his voice has lost nothing over the years. It brought a tear to my eye. A beautiful album.

Snowfall: the Tony Bennett Christmas Album

Christmas comes once a year, this disc will be played perhaps twice. That would be too much. Bennett sings white Christmas as if he was dragging teeth. The Christmas melody is close to what its all about, but the rest, well nothing rang my bell, the price is wrong, not value for money. I think around a pound a disc should cover it. Still a little charity to Tony wont go amiss.

These are record to CD transfers and the sound quality is clear throughout and the original albums dating from 1954 to 57 have bonus tracks added too (the1951 singles). This makes 50 songs in all at an amazing price.

Cloud 7 featured Chuck Wayne as guitarist and musical director; Tony had the big orchestral names of Percy Faith and Ray Conniff; The Beat of Your Heat had Ralph Sharon as musical director. As far as formative albums and singles go this trio of discs has the lot. Attractively packaged it makes for a great addition to the budget priced Tony Bennett CDs now available in the UK. The running times reflect the old LP era but with the bonus tracks come in at a respectable total of approx 142 minutes.

I got this CD last night & i could not stop playing through out till themid morning of the ff. day as a result I was a little bit late for work.Tony Bennet is one of the most enjoyable artists his voice is no differentthat much to Frank Sinatra. he invited a lot of Talented artists on his75th birthday celebration. Diana krall sounds convincing on "Ok U winAgain" but Stevie Wonder nearly made me cry on "Every day i have theblues" his harmonica swills through the air like U have never imagined Oh!what a voice.Cheryl Crow's voice on "good morning heartache" is somarvellous I like the casual way she sings & her accent brings a littlespice on the song.ALL SONGS are wonderful.
