The track listing looked impresive, and being mixed by "Tuff Enuf", i was expecting so much more. The quality of the mixing is poor and the effects unit used by the dj is anoying. I will never by another Kiss cd. There are so many similar albums out there, i would recomend any of the pure silk albums (also mixed by Tuff enuf Brown), or for a live mix 101% speed garage is wicked, every track is a tune, the dj's are class as are the mc's and it has a live feel. Quality! This is my opinion however, if you are new to garage music you may enjoy it, thats the only good thing i can say about the cd, waste of a tenner!

This CD is one essential for the real old school garage lover. Mid nineties tunes bring back vibes of the true UK underground style before garage went commercial.

You've heard it called many things; Speed Garage, Two Step, blah, blah, blah... Basically, this is around the time that UK garage really started to kick it big time - and in 1996, it really was "A London Thing", as noted by Scott Garcia.
The now defunct Karl "Tuff Enuff" Brown and Matt "Jam" Lamont partnership enjoyed a successful period as the proclaimed "godfathers" of London and now UK garage. It seemed like whatever they touched turned to gold - from the beautiful anthem Gabrielle through to the Tuff Funky sound of Anytime - stopping off at a whole host of classics along the way, and onward unto the future!
This really is a truly fantastic introduction to the birth of the UK ... Read More:
