I really can't fault this album in any way. Who would have thought UNKLE could release something to better War Stories, but I think this has.

The clear stand-out track on here is 'Heaven', I challenge you to listen to it and not be in awe at it's sheer magnificence. Other tracks of note include the beautiful but far too short 'Synthetic Water', the orchestral 'Trouble in Paradise' which was recently featured in an advert, and the tracks 'Against The Grain' and 'Nocturnal' which are both stellar UNKLE works

Psyence Fiction

I enjoyed this album - it's certainly nowhere near as bad as the NME would have you believe, and in places is actually quite funny!

The "Unreal" track seems to be quite popular with the BBC - it's been used as incidental soundtrack music in the defunct cop drama "City Central", and as the trailer music for the first series of "Rome", for example.

Although it's not what I'd call great, I find I keep going back to this album - it's definitely worth a listen.

War Stories

I am a fan of Psyence Fiction and Never Never Land, not least because of their blend of hip hop, breakbeat and rock. War Stories is more of a straightforward guitar rock-based album vaguely reminiscent of Primal Scream, but it contains several memorable tracks so, whilst I don't rate this as highly as their previous work (because of the abandonment of beats and breaks), I like it all the same. Stand out tracks are "Chemistry" and "Burn My Shadow". Talking of which, please bring back DJ Shadow for the next effort!

There are some decent tracks on this album but there's also a few to pad out the album,my main gripe is that the actual recording quality is poor,this is unusual for a "band" like Unkle,still if you love Unkle like myself you could do worst,let's hope the next album is better recorded.

There is not much more i can add to the reviews already given.

Dont be put off by the fact that these cds are just full of remixes of the same few tracks (the range of styles and mixes is truely amazing).

I have been putting of getting this CD for a while now, but bit the bullet today as i love UNKLE and bought it. Rushed home and after one listen wrote my first ever amazon review.

This is one of my best buys of the year (only wish i bought it sooner)

Sugar and Spite

I heard them for the first time at a Travis' Gig in Paris in 2007. I really enjoyed their songs and the melodies of their music. I was not the only one who fell under the charm of Unkle Bob and I hope they'll have a great success in the future and will be more popular. Thank you for this first excellent album!! Good luck :)

Could only sum up this album with that one word. Bought it on the basis of it being the only thom yorke-related music i didnt own and i wasn't disappointed. Being slightly biased i think 'rabbit in your headlights' is the best track on there, though slightly disturbing when accompanied by the strange promotional video for the single.
Richard Ashcroft-endorsed 'lonely soul' is another standout as he proves he can lend his voice to any style of music. For further proof check out 'the test' with the chemical brothers!Anyone a fan of the top ten smash hit (note the sarcasm) 'be there' (feat ian brown) would not be disappointed by purchasing this album!
