Strange Birds

A superb album. It starts off with 2 or 3 cathcy anthemic pieces which leaves you wondering whether this quality can be sustained. Unfortunately it loses its way during the middle section of the album with a couple of slower songs but the last two songs are quality. If you haven't bought a David usher album before - buy this one. It is a superb album. This is his fifth album and best to date - hopefully he will get the UK recognition that he richly deserves.

Burn

Usher was a big worldwide star for years, but 2004 promoted him to the throne of R&B music and just to prove his title, he broke almost every record imaginable. To have a #1 single for 12 weeks just to replace it with another one, all from a huge album Confessions is a triumph nobody managed before (except for Outkast some months before...).
But (there's always that) I have to say that Burn really burns the charts because of the phenomenal success of Yeah! and not because its worthy of a #1 status. In my opinion, this is simply the weakest single ever released by Usher, miles away from Pop Ya Collar, U Make Me Wanna and such. Morning Orbit

david usher has a unique voice. this album is one of his best solo albums. 'morning orbit' includes great songs such as 'how are you', 'joy in small places' and 'black black heart'. there isn't one bad song on this album. it's very laid-back and entertaining, but don't expect the same kind of sound as moist. it is very different, but is well worth buying!

Okay bad news first............
NEGATIVE POINTS:
*As this is a live cd the sound quality just isn't as good as the original recordings
*Screaming fans
*Dodgy dance remixes as fill in tracks
*6 of the 17 tracks are less than 2 minutes long
*Features a bunch of songs that aren't on any of his albums

GOOD POINTS:
*My way- JDs remix - its actualy a good remix quite similar to the original though
*Bedtime - Saves the cd, beautiful long version
*At least you know he can sing live!

In short one for the hardcore fans only just so you can own all of his cds as its not the best, your probably better off getting a live dvd.

If you're reading this review, chances are you will already have heard this new song from Usher ft. Lil' Jon & Ludacris!! This song brings Usher screaming into the new year with a tune that is both catchy and will definately get you out on the dance floor!! It has a great beat, very catchy chorus, some clever lyrics and good supporting vocals from the likes of Ludacris & Lil' Jon, both of whom you shall be hearing alot more from in the coming months (with Lil' Jon releasing his first single on these shores, from the hit Playstation 2 game Need for Speed:Underground). This is a great listen and a must have track from a great artist that keeps coming back for more.

Sloppy Seconds EP

It's difficult to find fault with any track on this highly original and entertaining EP. Blah, Blah, Blah is a highlight and the samples on Far out are wicked. Oozing Pestilence is my favourite for sheer comedy value. Just dead simple and effective hip-hop. Cage is nothing short of genius.
